Fantasy Harbour
When we took our trip to Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago we took Madison to Fantasy Harbour. She had a BLAST. I love an amusement park myself and although I have to be careful about the spinny rides now (due to inner ear problems lead to motion sickness TOO easily) I still will ride just about anything. Especially a Roller Coaster and I love the Double Ferris Wheel.

I have to say my girl is like her Momma. She wasn't afraid of any of the rides. She wanted to go "faster" even. There was a merry-go-round also but I didn't get a pic of that. She's rode a ton of them (at the Zoo, Festival of Lights, Azalea Festival etc.).
I am so glad we are off tomorrow for the 4th of July. I think we are going back to the Lake again but i'm not 100% sure. I'm just ready for the WEEK-END!
Told Y'all I'd Be Up....
Madison is happily ensconced in her bed watching The Wiggles and next up is Higgledytown Heroes... okay I just had to go in there and give her a strip for a stuffy nose and fill up her humidifier.. maybe she's not so much a fan of the Wiggles as I thought! Now she wants chocolate milk and goldfish hmmmm does that constitute a balanced breakfast?.....
We have to take Reilly to be groomed, there is a pair of sandals at Steinmart I want (if they are still there, I only saw one on Tuesesday when I was there and stupidly did not get them) and I promised Madison we would look for her a Strawberry Shortcake Nightgown. Lunch somewhere and then tonight we are meeting our friends, Stacey, Johnny & their adorable little boy JohnnyMac for dinner at Creek Ratz. Mmmmmm seafood!
THIS is what we did last night. Took Madison fishing for the first time. She did really well, she caught three!

Hopefully i'll be back in the afternoon to read/comment while she takes a nap. Cross your fingers cos' that child definitely benefits from a nap and I can't even begin to think about taking her to Creek Ratz tonight without a good long afternoon nap. I sound so "mommish" don't I? *grin*
We're Moving

I mentioned to Loving Annie early last week that I had a tough patch coming up. See, I knew at that time that we would probably be moving from my new (old) house on W***ey Street. While I love the house dearly I don't love the neighborhood it's in and it's not getting better - it's getting WORSE.
Three murders in the last month all within a few blocks or less.
A home invasion down the street last week.
Someone has broken into my car TWICE (I never blogged about the second time - redundant except they stole Madison's monogrammed diaper bag. Yeah. Nice).
Last week six police cruisers behind us,police wrestling a young man to the ground and my daughter saying "What he doing Mommy?". She doesn't need to witness that.
When do the guns start blazing? A bullet has no name. I was initially very upset to realize there is nothing I can do about these things... but move.
Luck has been on our side and we found a nice place to rent a few miles from my parents and we will have the option to buy if we wish. It's a nice brick home, three bedrooms, we have to finish the yard with a front section of privacy fence but that's no big deal It's got a brand new deck and a front porch and the front and back yards are both big (for my airblowns). The neighborhood is rural and doesn't have the "foot traffic" my present neighborhood does.
Although I am sad to leave my beautiful house I can make this other one a "home" as well and who knows.... maybe my Gone With The Wind House still awaits me somewhere down the line.
I will be emailing my new address. We should be in the new place by August 1st... if not sooner.
Oh.My.Head
That's all i'm going to say about that.

I got some more racetrack FUG for your enjoyment. The first two my friend took, technically to me this is not a FUG as I am a fan of plaid but she said it is so...

Holy Moley!

If you can't read his shirt it says "Rebel til' the day I die". Uh Huh.

If you are going to go out in public for the love of Bob please wear clean clothes!
I wanted to give him a squirt of Lysol, Febreze and hell just douse him with Clorox and be done with it!
Beach Pics
Every time we went down on the Beach during the day I forgot the camera. So... the day we were leaving after we ate breakfast I took Maddie down and took a few snaps of her playing in the sand.

I know she's not looking at the camera but I like this one anyway.

She was kind of getting "over it" by then :)

She LOVED washing the sand off her feet!

Kinda blurry but since there are so few of me & her - here ya go! Boy it was WINDY!
Don't Faint Purple Twinkie
I actually COOKED last night, from scratch. Okay, okay I did use pre-packaged pie crust but I had to spread it in the pan! I made a chicken pie - OMG it was GOOD. Chicken, mushrooms, peas, carrots, corn and a roasted garlic cream sauce. Even Madison liked it and that's saying alot. She's getting a little picky lately.

Because she's been potty training for two weeks and only had two days where she had an accident I made her a sundae last night. Strawberry Banana (Dora the Explorer endorsed) Breyers ice cream, whipped cream and SPRINKLES. Now tell me, who doesn't love sprinkles? How could you not like sprinkles? They are colorful, sweet and just plain FUN! The ice cream conde shaped dish and spoon were bought for Madison by Stacy's Mom a.k.a. "Ma". Madison loves it!
Happy Hump Day everybody.
RaceTrack Again

My friend S took this at the Track. I don't know why i've got that goofy smile on my face. Probably because I look like a truckstop hooker lurking around the Men's room LOL As you all can probably guess there's not much by way of eye candy at the Track, just a whole lotta fug! One must dress up the scenery however one can.

P.S. I showed my blog to Stacy last night. He didn't really say much and I don't even think he looked at it long. Maybe he'll come back again ~Hi~Honey~ *shrug*
RaceTrack FUG
Girlfriend escaped from Deliverance or Hee Haw. I wasn't sure which.

This girl is just a stark raving royal BITCH and I was glad to fug her. I am by no means svelte myself but I don't act like i'm some kind of diva like this one does. Oh and did I mention what a nasty bitch she is? Don't forget to check out my Fathers Day post below this one! FUG ON.
Happy Fathers Day!

To the man I love most in the whole wide world. You make me and this little girl laugh and smile on a daily basis. You take care of us. You treat us like the Queen and Princess that we are. Thank you for everything you do (and that's alot). We had such a good time at Myrtle Beach this week-end. It can only get better!

Quiet Week-End
Well I didn't drunk dial anybody. I didn't even drink anything alcoholic! I have to confess I went to the library after Stacy and Madison left Friday and got some books and my nose was in a book all Friday night and most of early Saturday. I read a scary book called "Summer of Night" by Dan Simmons. It was very good. My only complaint was (much like Stephen King's "It") stick to the scary ghosties & goblins, werewolves & witches & vampires. Don't bring some damn slugs & hell holes into the mix. The ending with the spider thingie totally RUINED "It" in my opinion.
I did go to the races Saturday night and took some FUG pics and my damn camera died so now it won't even charge on the dock/printer so I have to figure out of if I need to buy a new cartridge (which is the message the dock/printer is giving me) or if I need to buy a new battery. *sigh*
Oh my babygirl wore panties all week-end at her Grandma's and did so good. She's got panties on today. I told her if she has no accidents she will get a surprise when she gets home tonight (toy). If she has an accident we will just start over again tomorrow. I went and got the Bathtime For Kira toy that Casey at Dancing On The Edge reccomended. Madison loved it! Thanks Casey!
So tell me what did you do this week-end? Oh I also went to Lowes yesterday and bought the hubs a new lawnmower as part of his Fathers Day. I'm nice like that (hah!)
Whew.. just Whew...
There is so much going on around here.

Two vicious murders in the past week by self-admitted crack heads.
Someone knocked the mirror off of my car on Saturday in a parking lot.

My friends son got caught with a pocketknife at summer school and now faces disciplinary action that could go on his permanent record.

Four of my favorite bloggers have had a crap-tastic week and then some.

My husband acted the fool last night (but totally made up for it this morning).

On my way to work I noticed that the bar two blocks down the street from us had been broken into.

My co-worker went to the doctor yesterday and then was admitted to the hospital for a serious health problem.

My boss left work early to go to the ER and he has a kidney stone.

But in light of all this, I am blessed. My life is pretty darn good.
Have a terrific Thursday!
* My husband really annoys me when he is condescending. REALLY.

* Young punks who slouch up and down my street when there are sidewalks on both sides really annoy me.

*Kids in the Playground who want me to "watch them" when i've got my own two year old to watch - their parents who are busy yakking on cellphones. The parents annoy me.

*When we can't decide what/where we want for lunch. The constant "What do you want" "Well what do YOU want?". Annoys me.

*When my two year old is just being a bratty smart-ass. That annoys me.

*When my husband does something really nice and surprises me, that makes me happy.

*When I have a nice quiet peaceful day at work. I love that.

*A really good book is like gold to me.

*Making my own pizza is the best. Better than any I can buy IMHO :)

*I love people who are truly funny and make me laugh or smile.

*Blogger friends who send you something "out of the blue" are the best. Thanks SHELL!

If I don't shut up now this is going to turn into a PSA
I survived my daddy-less week-end
With the help of this.....

No honestly Maddie was very good all week-end. She went to bed early Friday night and I hit the wine bottle to relax. My apologies to PurpleTwinkie and Cheeky and SFG. Hey Caroline if you want to give me your phone# i'm sure you'll be regaled with a call from me sometime LOL Lucky You!
I bought Madison a Strawberry Shortcake beach chair & beach towel and I had to watch the BackYardigans, Wonderpets and Dora on TV much more than I cared to but she also watched her new Strawberry Shortcake movie "Sweet Dreams". We didn't get to lay out AT ALL because we finally got some rain that we so badly needed so I can't really complain about that. Stacy didnt' catch any fish at Santee but he enjoyed himself so all in all it was a pretty okay week-end. I sure miss Gerbera Daisy & Manblogger but I know they are having a BLAST in Hawaii!
Week-end
Well I don't think Maddie and I will be going anywhere over the week-end. I just don't feel comfortable going to the Beach alone with her and can't find anyone to go with me. I bought her a new pool last night (with a built in slide & sprinkler) and we are going to the races Saturday night (Please let me NOT forget my camera). She will be in the pits with my sister and get to ride around in the golf cart all evening so she will be happy. I can sit with my friends in the stands and be bitchy and FUG people hehe... so i'll be happy. Oh and yep I do have a few IRL friends but I only see them at the RaceTrack. You blog friends stil RULE ;)
More crap in my yard
I know y'all are just so excited to see more of my yard, can you tell I don't really have anything to blog about today? Well I was going to blog about how Blog Friends are just as "real" as IRL friends but Tammy & Kami & Carrie and I don't know who else already covered THAT. Like I told Southern Fried Girl, if it weren't for my blog friends i'd have NO social interaction outside of work (and I don't socialize with my workmates much). So Thank God, Bob and everyone else for Blog Friends!

Here is my gardenia bush. I can smell it as soon as I walk out the front door. Bliss. Hopefully soon my Lavender will thrive and smell good also. I don't exactly have a green thumb when it comes to waivering from the tried and true plants i've had luck with in the past!

My geraniums have started to bloom again. I love these. They sit in big clay pots on the front stoop. In the Fall I switch to orange Marigolds.

Here are my pretty pink Petunias. My Mom calls me "Petunia" sometimes. Don't know why. Er, I hope not because of Petunia Pig - Porky's girlfriend!!!! Mom?!!!!!

Here are some ugly orange Lillies which I hate but Stacy likes. Probably because his Mother has always grown them in her yard. They remind me of a funeral. Yuck.

I love this little guy. Maddie likes to swing him but I told her not to because he's heavy. My Mom & MIL both have him in their yards also.

My niece Heather gave me this little guy for my birthday. He looks adventurous!

The Rules:
* Players start with 8 random facts about themselves.
* Those who are tagged should post these rules and their 8 random facts.
* Players should tag eight other people and notify them that they have been tagged.

My eight random facts

1) I sometimes think I am too hard on my daughter and too strict. She's only two years old but I have a FEAR of raising a sefl-entitled spoiled BRAT. I can't stand kids like that.

2) I secretly hate myself for being such a chicken and not doing the things I REALLY want to do. I blame others but it's really my own fault.

3) I sometimes want to do sneaky little things but just can't. My conscience gets me EVERY time.

4) If my compensation next month is not satisfactory to me I will be seeking a job in another area come October. All we've heard is how our group is the main group that has done such a good job in the transition from Milwaukee and now it's time to put the $ where the mouth is. We'll see.

5) It makes me so happy when I see friends happy with S/O's. There are two particular bloggers I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish would find "someone special". No i'm not telling who they are. *sticks tongue out*

6) Sometimes... just sometimes.... I fantasize what it would be like if we had a son but that is NOT gonna happen. I seriously think I would lose my mind if I had to go through all of the brouhaha associated with pregnancy, birth, infanthood and toddlerhood again.

7) If I could get a new car right now it would be a Chrysler 300 or a Dodge Charger. Anybody wanna donate one to me? My car is paid for and i'm really not feeling the car payment thing but i'd LOVE a sweet new ride. (who wouldn't?)

8) I used to be super close to my only brother but in the last three years he has become a person I do not even know. It makes me very, very sad. I miss you, Bubby.
Topsy Turvy

This is how I feel my world is sometimes. My GOD gravity is not kind to me! Wrinkles & sagging ALERT! hehe.... Oh well I don't care about getting old. I am thankful for every day I have and hope I have many many more. My goal is to live to be 100. I had a great grandmother who was born in 1890 and died in 1988. I was so disappointed that she didnt' make 100 (well I was very sorry she died also as we were very close). She was never sick or infirm until she hit about 95. She drive up until she was 88 (NOT a good thing). Anyway she used to laugh at me when i'd tell her "Gram I hope you live to be 100" She'd say "Why it's just a number". Maybe but that would make my kid in her 60's and maybe i'll feel then that she will be okay without me. My own Mom is 71 and I worry all the time about losing her and my Daddy too.
On to more cheerful things we spent over $100 on stuff for Madison's playhouse so it should be finished in a few more weeks. She still has no idea that it's for her. I think we're going to paint it lavender and pale pink with white shutters.

*** Good surgery vibes go out to Southern Fried Girl's Hub who is having Surg this a.m. May it be quick, fairly painless and mainly a SUCCESS! Love Ya HAB.
Eating Tag
The Rules:

Add a direct link to your post below the name of the person who tagged you.
Include the state and country you’re in.
List out your top 5 favorite places to eat at your location (locally).
Tag 5 other people (preferably from other countries/states) and let them know they’ve been tagged.

My 5 favorite places to eat locally: Florence, South Carolina

1) Redbone Alley - They have everything from steaks, to ribs, to pasta, to shrimp & grits and everything in between. They are very kid friendly also. The restaurant features an old restored Good Humor Ice Cream Truck that the kids can get a free treat from. My favorite is the Fettucine Mosaic. An alfredo dish that features grilled chicken & grilled shrimp. They Pizza Dip appetizer is wonderful also. Actually I don't think they make a bad dish at this place. Seriously.

2) Carolina Wings & Ribs - The hubs usually gets chicken wings and ribs. They have many, many, many flavors to choose from. I like chicken tenders (I don't eat chicken with bones in it) and they will toss them in any of the wing flavors for you. My favoite is the parmesan garlic. Lip smackin' good!

3) Pam's (actually located in Hartsville,SC)- I am not a fan of buffets. Normally they gross me out and just taste "mass produced". Ick. Not Pam's. I have been here literally hundreds of times and every single it tastes like Grandma cooked it just for the family. The buffet always has bbq pork, fried chicken and then usually either baked ham or turkey. Their pork & rice is yummy as is the cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans, sweet corn, biscuits and did I mention the desserts? No banana pudding & jello on this bar. There are pies and cakes and cobblers. You can always have a dish of soft serve ice cream if you are so inclined.

4) Raceway Grill (Darlington,SC) They are renowned for their handcut french fries and huge hamburger steaks. I like their bacon chili cheeseburger as well. This place looks like a dive but it's located right next to the famous Nascar speedway and has long been a favorite of the Drivers on the circuit. Yum.

5) Schlotzskys- This is a chain but oh how I love their sandwiches. The turkey original on sourdough is my fave. Drizzled with a little oil & vinegar and dipped delicately in their signature hot sauce. Mmmmm good. They also have good mini pizzas and their soup and salads aren't bad either.

I'm not tagging anyone since Chickie didn't officially "tag" me but if you want to list your picks in the comments or on your own blog feel free!
Okay I had a semi-negative rant up here about stupid people but i'll just change it to something positive. Well i'm going to whine a little but you've all heard THAT before right? I want to go to the Beach. I wanted to go to Folly Beach this week-end but I didn't get to. Just once I wish someone would surprise me and say "Get in the car" and take me to the Beach. Myrtle Beach, Folly Beach, Tybee Island ANY Beach. Just once.
Happy LATE HNT

Daddy snapped a picture of his girls taking a beauty soak. I don't participate in the Thursday phenom known as Half Nekkid Thursday but I thought i'd share this one anyway!
My Yard
This little guy guards my door. I have many different outfits to dress him in. This month he is a graduate in honor of my niece Jess who just graduated from FMU!

I might have showed this before. Can't remember but I bought this slate at the Azalea Festival in Summerville in April. They had many different styles but once I saw the SC symbol that was it. One lady even parked her car and came up to look at it and aske where I bought it. That's living in the city I guess!

This is my front side yard. You probably have to click on them to enlarge but there are two shephard hooks at each end of the picture with pink petunias hanging on them.

This is one of my many mini flags. I'm a flag "freak". Just thought i'd give you a close up. This sits between the two shephard hooks holding the pink petunias.

Does anyone else like to decorate and put stuff in their yard like I do? I have to be careful or it will be overload! You really have to strive for "balance". My one sister has so much stuff in her yard, well it borders on tacky but I love her so I can't call her tacky. Um, let's just say it's "busy" and leave it at that! Happy Hump Day Everybody!
Busy Week-End
First her and Daddy had to sit in Tony Stewart's car at the track. (her hair is finally growing - Yay)

Daddy is building her a playhouse - only she doesn't know it!

She is right on hand to give Daddy some help when needed.(those are her play tools)

Hey Daddy! What do I do now?

Ahhh finally I can relax in my pool with a nice cold Coca Cola!
No FUG :(
I took my camera Friday but we also had Madison and it was so crazy that I just didn't get any pictures. I saw some (but not as much as at the Silver Crown race maybe because it was earlier in the day I don't know) and then Saturday the bottom dropped out and the race was postponed due to rain so we didn't even get down to the Track Saturday evening. I promise some FUG in the near future from the local racetrack.

My condolences go out to dear Casey at Dancing On The Edge who lost her Mother last Friday. I can't even imagine what it feels like. May your family finally find peace.

*** I don't know what the freakin' hell is up with Blogger but I am catching hell getting onto blogs so am just going to give it a rest for awhile. If I don't visit you today it's not for lack of trying!
Off Today!
Hey all- I forgot to tell you i'm off today (don't hate)!
It is "race week" here in neighboring Darlington and we went to the USAC silver crown race last night.
It was pretty good. FAST cars. OMG the FUG.
I didn't take my camera but i'm going back to the Track today and I will definitely take it. Redneck heaven.
Stacy and I snickered and nudged each other.
You never saw so many drunks congregated in one place that wasn't a wedding reception or a bar!
Despite the thousands of people there I bet we saw 12 people we know. We're so popular. Hah.
Anyway I am off to let the dog in and maybe catch a few more winks before we go over to the Track.
Have a great week-end!
Finally.........

This is the kind of classy joint me & Cheeky ate at! I had to laugh when I saw this in the bathroom and had to snap a pic. Actually Red's Icehouse was very good and I would definitely go back. I'm not a crystal chandelier/champagne kinda gal as a rule anyway!

Here are me (right) and Cheeky (left). Isn't she so pretty! The sun was blinding us (so we had to wear our shades). I think we look tres' cosmopolitan (yah right!) I hope she is enjoying her trip to Charleston and gets to spend at least one day at the BEACH. Can you see there is not much crab dip left LOL OMG that stuff was GOOD.
I managed to download the pics off of my camera last night and emailed them to myself here at work... but where are they? Oh well I know they are in the puter at home so i'll just post them tonight if I have to. I swear I am probably the most functioning techo-challenged person you will EVER meet.

Mmmm I made the yummiest mac n' cheese for dinner last night. While we were eating Madison said "It's good Mamma". I beamed with pride! I cut up a little bit of onion in it and Stacy grated a full two lbs of extra sharp white cheddar cheese to go in it and I crushed up potato chips on top. I know, VERY fattening but oh so very good.

I called home to remind Stacy of something and he was making the beds. What a guy!

Has anybody else ever gotten up at 3:30 a.m. just because their kid did not like what they were sleeping in? We had to change to a princess nightgown this a.m. BUT she did go right back to sleep............ *shrug*

Oh and a PSA - The three of you are not Miss America so you think you would work on keeping the ugly on the inside at bay. Not working.
I met Cheeky!
I can't post the pic that the nice waitress took of us because my camera won't shake hands and be friends with my computer but I can say I heart Cheeky and she is EXACTLY like she is on her blog. I'm afraid I probably disappointed her and was more quiet than she expected but let me just say I would rather be beaten half to death than DRIVE and I drove 2 hours each way to meet her so I was kinda stressed from the driving. It was a comedy of errors though. She missed her flight in Chicago Saturday night and ended up spending the night there. She called me at 8a.m. to let me know (as I was going to leave out at 9a.m.) she wouldn't be getting in until about noon. I left a little later and parked on Rivers Avenue and browsed around Marshall's and TJMaxx while waiting on her call. She didn't waste anytime and she picked me up and we went to Shem Creek and ate at Red's IceHouse. OMG it was good. We shared a pitcher of Shem Creek Coolers (rum & pineapple juice & lime & grenadine YUM) and an appetizer of hot crab dip and then we both had lobster rolls. But the company was even better than the food. Cheeky is just so warm and bubbly and FUN. I wish our time had not been so short but we definitely plan to spend time together again, maybe in Columbia where we can spend the night and get our drink on and party with LEE of Carolina On My Mind. That would be awesome. Anyway thanks Cheeky for a wonderful afternoon!
It's Raining It's Pouring
I commented on somebody's blog (apologies cos' I can't remember who. I comment on a LOT of blogs daily and well, i'm 40 ya know cut me some slack!) that I wanted some rain as my lawn needed it and my flowers.
Well Maddie and I went to the park yesterday and as promised we took last weeks leftover taco shells to feed the squirrels. They love them. The sky was getting darker and I looked around and we were the only ones there.
I said "Maddie we'd better leave, I think it's gonna rain" (i'm smart like that.
I ran to the Pig (Piggly Wiggly for all you non-southerners) and got a few things I needed and we got home and I just got myself, the child and all the grocery bags into the house and the bottom DROPPED OUT. I don't mean it started sprinkling then raining I mean ~whoosh~ it started pounding down rain.
Holy hell. We had hail the size of tennis balls. So I got the rain I requested - and then some. It's raining this morning too but a nice little genty misty spring rain. Ahh... now if I could only be curled up in my bed, or on the couch or on my screened in porch wrapped in a throw and snoozing like a big dog. Does anybody else love rainy days like that as much as I do?

My kid acted the fool this morning again.
Carrie is taking her to Brittany's school for a May Day Celebration and told her she would get a spanking if she acted the fool there. She won't there. She knows Carrie doesn't play. Mommy doesn't either but DADDY was there and, well, I won't get into all of those issues. No use exposing myself for the sometimes bitter bitch that I truly am.
Wishing everyone a wonderful, fabulous week-end. I get to see Cheeky on Sunday!!!!!
PSA for the lovely month of May
To: The numerous women around Crying Cow Bank who have "cankles" please for the love of pete stop wearing kitten heels on those hooves.

To Blondie Poo with the $900 doggie who was a "cwismas pwesent". You shouldn't even be a pet owner. Your dog is not a possession it is a real animal with feelings. Ugh. I could happily dip you in a vat of boiling oil.

To: My Off-Spring: If you don't get off this "Daddy Do It" kick I am going to sell you to passing gypsies. Seriously. Daddy was not in labor with you for twelve hours nor did he birth 7+ lb you out of an opening the size of a walnut. A little gratitude would be nice.

I think that will do for now. Ahhhhh I feel better just letting it out! Carry on.
My Girl

****IF YOU CLICK ON THE PICTURE IT WILL MAKE IT BIGGER SO YOU CAN SEE IT!

This is Madison's official easter portrait. I apologize if it's very small or crooked. My sister scanned it for me and I couldn't figure out how to improve it once she emailed it to me. We had it custom framed and it looks beautiful hanging on the wall. I can't believe how much of a little lady she looks like! *sniffle*
Doctor
Since yesterday's post had me pissing and moaning about finding a new Dentist I might as well also divulge that my regular Doctor is leaving his general practice to go into the more lucrative cosmetic surgery area. Lovely.
I do have a back-up there, the Nurse Practicioner in his office is great.
Jenn "the upbeat divorcee'" blogged about her FREAKY gynecological experience.
My gyno, Dr. D,is my buddy - he saved my and Madison's life during childbirth (and according to him I still hold the record for most frightening birth experience he has ever had) and I can talk to him openly about anything.
Stacy likes him too (he went with me to every gyno appointment and tickled Dr. D to death).
Stacy was very involved in my pregnancy.
The night I gave birth to Maddie, Dr. D had stopped by and was sitting on the edge of the bed and he asked where Stacy was. I told him "In the nursery i've barely saw him since Maddie was born and I really didn't even get a good look at her yet". He buzzed a nurse to bring a wheelchair so I could go see my baby girl. "You know I thought for a moment there Stacy was just going to shove me over and deliver that baby himself". We laughed softly for a moment. Dr. D mused "He sure is going to be a good Daddy". You were wrong there, Dr. D. He's a GREAT Daddy!
How I Met My Spouse

I REALLY need to scan some of my wedding pics! Anyway I hope I haven't told my story before but I was thinking back to when Stacy and I first met.
We met in November 1988.
I worked at a local Motel just off of I-95 which was a busy~busy~busy place. (Florence IS about half-way between NYC & Miami you know!).
Stacy was working in Florence doing construction on the new UPS building and staying at the Motel.
My policy was "no dating guests. Ever" because plenty of married businessmen and truckdrivers were forever hitting on me.
Stacy asked me out and I told him said policy. The next night, he asked me again. Next night, again.
I thought "Holy Crap is this guy EVER going to get the message?". He would come down and work out in the Gym and I would do my work behind the front desk and snicker to myself because it was so obvious he was trying to impress me.
He would come to the desk when it was time to get off and we sat around and talked. Anyway I did give in and we did start dating.
He lived in Summerville (about an hour and a half away).
We did the long distance thing for a few months. Then he said his ex-GF wanted to get back together and he was "confused".
I solved his confusion for him, I told him we were through and that was that.
Little did I know he and the Ex had never broke up and he was a cheating low-down dirty dog but anyhoo......
It wasn't long after that he started contacting me again wanting to be friends, see me, etc.
I was having none of it.
For FIVE years he would call my house and talk to my Mom, my Dad, my Brother but I would never return his calls.
In June 1994 once again he called.
My Dad gave me the message and he and my Mom both said "Why don't you call that poor boy back?" and something just clicked and I thought "Why not?".
So, I did. We talked and talked and talked.
He drove up that week-end to pick me up and took me back down to Summerville.
We went out, we had a blast. The sparks were still there. This boy was serious.
In a matter of weeks I had moved down to his parents house and he was talking marriage.
At first I asked him if I could think about it. (Hey not every girl aspires to have Mrs. in front of her name!).
But after some soul-searching I realized I did love him.
He made me laugh, he made me feel special and despite the redneck good ol' boy exterior he was the Prince I always said I would have and wouldn't settle for anything less.
We got engaged July 1994 and planned on getting married St. Patricks Day 1995.
Well it wasn't long before we decided we didn't want to wait that long so we re-set our wedding date for October 22,1994 and the rest, they say is history.
Oh and did I ever worry about him being a cheating low-down dirty dog again?
Nah. He told me after we broke up he told his Daddy and all of his friends "If I can ever get that girl to go back with me, I"m going to marry her" and he did.
I have never doubted his love for me and I hope I never do!
Now I want to hear your story of how you met your Significant Other. Details!!! If you'd rather do your own blog post about it that's fine, just tell me.
Madison Seeing Her New Room
I don't think I ever posted the pics of Maddie seeing her new room. She still loves it, it's definitely "her" domain!

You all know my girl does not show alot of emotion she was just breaking into a big grin here. She DOES love her room!

See the pink beanie gerbil Chickie gave her on the Dresser (left side). The bear from Cheeky sits on the top.

She is fascinated with that photo box.

After a hard day, Madison relaxes with her favorite babydoll "boy" in her new bed. ***Boy is the raggedy doll she FOUND in K-Mart but he is her hands down favorite and she won't go to sleep without him.
