I might have showed this before. Can't remember but I bought this slate at the Azalea Festival in Summerville in April. They had many different styles but once I saw the SC symbol that was it. One lady even parked her car and came up to look at it and aske where I bought it. That's living in the city I guess!

This is my front side yard. You probably have to click on them to enlarge but there are two shephard hooks at each end of the picture with pink petunias hanging on them.

This is one of my many mini flags. I'm a flag "freak". Just thought i'd give you a close up. This sits between the two shephard hooks holding the pink petunias.

Does anyone else like to decorate and put stuff in their yard like I do? I have to be careful or it will be overload! You really have to strive for "balance". My one sister has so much stuff in her yard, well it borders on tacky but I love her so I can't call her tacky. Um, let's just say it's "busy" and leave it at that! Happy Hump Day Everybody!

I like having green grass that is real thick. I like the occasational sheppards hook now and then also. That is about as wild as I get.
Flamingos! I am on a HUGE flamingo kick and I want some really cool ones for my yard. I saw some great ones at Myrtle Beach in April and then last week in Chucktown but shipping them would have cost me a fortune. BUT I want flamingos damnit!
I put up a new over the toilet organizer thingy in the bathroom this weekend (ok so Mr. Cheeky did - I supervised) so now I can put my flamingos on it. Did I tell you I had a flamingo bathroom in Chucktown complete towels, rugs and lights around the mirror? I did - It was the bomb!
OH yeah and I want that slate too! If the people you bought it from have a website - hook a sista up!
OH and yeah I am in a sassy mood today - woohoo!
No yard, so no vote. :P
My sister also has a goose outside her door that she dresses up. When she remembers to. lol I think it's cute.
Well, right now it's so dry here, our lawn is brown...almost ALL of it. I hate it but it's too expensive to water even every other day.
We don't have a lot in our front yard....on our stoop, I have a huge planter with some kind of purple flowers in it...and it's got a little fawn on one side and a bunny rabbit on the other (well, actually, those are my mothers things...I hate telling her she can't put them there!) :)
Nice yard, Patti_cake....makes me miss green grass, that's for sure! :)
I love to decorate my yard, but I'm like you - less is more. Some peeps go a tad overboard.
That's nice that you couldn't call you sister tacky. Ummmm, does she read your blog? ;)
When I get a yard you know, of my own, I will decorate that bitch up real nice! Yours looks great!
Yep, guilty of decorating the yard here! I try not to put too much out but sometimes I get carried away. I haven't done much to this yard yet but it's day is coming. My mom usually tells me when it is getting too much. Since we are both interior designers we feel free to critique each other's decorating both inside and out on a regular basis. It isn't pretty sometimes.
Man- I hear ya on the thick grass and I loves me some Shephard hooks!
Cheeky- I'll have to look into a website. They could paint anything on them, i'm sure FLAMINGOES! glad to see my sassy cheeky back!
Jenie- Stacy thinks i'm weird hehe..
Stacy PQ- Hopefully y'all will get back to the lush FL greenery you are known for. That's sweet of you to let your Mom put her stuff out.
SFG- Um yeah, they surely do and I will talk about them LOL
Denny- Nope she doesn't even know what a blog is.
Dixie- I'm sure yours will look faboo! Thanks.
Wendy- Another set of eyes is always good. Stacy actually helps me and he's got a good eye for a guy
I love that slate! If you do find the website, please send it my way as well.
Katie- Will do! they had a ton of them to choose from!
I'd love to decorate my lawn with cement. You guessed it, I'm not big on lawn stuff. Geo and Dink are; I'm not.
So, instead of calling Lawn Doctor for my landscaping problems, I'd rather call the masons.
I'm intrigued with the stoop goose. I've never seen one of those. What other outfits do you have?
If I had a stoop goose, I'd dress it up in leather chaps and a riding crop.
Very pretty!!
Yes I love garden-art and gardeny-junk as I call it :-)
I have two arbors, (one green with clematis growing over it and one white with nothing on it cause its too pretty to cover) and bunches of flower pots (teapots with flowers, old boots with flowers, jars, etc) and birdhouses, feeders, little copper & metal ornaments made by a metal artist back in Lexington Ky....
It's fun to decorate your yard!
Very cute! You are the blow-up queen, aren't you? For holidays?
I currently have no "objet du jardin", but I do have to ask...
Does the goose come with anything "sequiny" to dress it up in?
Maidink- You are preggo so i'll forgive the crabb-ass-edness! LOL
Lelo- I don't have S&M outfits for it! LOL Um, I do have a bikini!
Retro- A decorater after my own heart, you are!
Kami- I sure am!
I find it hard just to keep my flower beds weeded and grass cut. I gotta give you credit for keeping such a lovly yard..I/O
Frogs wearing crowns seem to populate my yard/garden. Maybe I'll snap pics of a few...I love your flags!!
We've done a rustic/farm type of scene in the back yard. Cows. Cultivators. Pile of wood with an old, rusty axe leaned against it. Hostas arranged so they look like "crops."
In the front yard, we have flower beds with driftwood and an old steel water pump (in one) and a windmill in the other.
We buy "stuff" to decorate our gardens and yard to the point where my son comes home and just shakes his head...
I like your square cedars. They look like boxwoods. I planted a boxwood hedge under our bay window last summer. It is small. If I pee on it, will it grow faster?
I have frogs ... they're not wearing anything though. Some are laying, some are sitting, but they are all cute.
I LOVE the slate with the palm tree and your name on it!!!!
We have a couple funky pink flamingos in our back yard and a couple shephard hooks with windchimes hanging on them. I want to be as obnoxious a neighbor as I possibly can and still be within my legal rights!! I have a couple little welcome signs in the front. I want a gazing ball but have not found exactly what I want.
I/O - Thank you - what a lovely thing to say but the hubs gets 80% of the credit i've gotta admit!
Sandra- Ooh I would love to see your yard. My niece had a gazing ball and the holder was a frog prince. I loved it!
Pat- You must take pics! Sounds delightful!
Martini- I don't know - the hubs isn't allowed to pee in the yard anymore since we moved into the city ;)
Wendy- I love frogs!
Gerbera- The proper yard ornaments cannot be rushed. They must come to YOU. LOL
Purple Twinkie- You must have been posting at the same time I was cos' I just read your post. Um, he doesn't have anything sequin that I can think of. Perhaps my sister can sew him something ;)
If I put something out in the front yard that doesn't weight 200 pounds the chances are it will be gone one morning.
I do put heaps of plants in the from ant back though.
Everytime I see a statue of a frog wearing a crown I have to have it. I take it home and kiss it and smooch it and totally make out with it. No luck so far.
What'a a yard? Is that the green fuzzy looking thing in the pic?
:-P
Good Saturday morning Patti ! I love putting things in my yard... I've got a fountain, and a blue gazing ball, and an angel, and wind chimes...
Flags are cool, too !
Hope you have a good weekend !
I love the duck!
