A little more about our Savannah visit last week. As I said we took the "Ghosts & Graveyards" Trolley Tour. Supposed to be the best one but it was pure hokey. I realize people have high expectations on a ghost tour and lord knows they cannot guarantee you will see a ghost but just tell us some true spine-tingling stories, give us a little 'atmosphere' and deep six the costumes and bad acting. We had Scarlett O'hara in a black dress. *eye roll*
We also saw some 'characters' although one flautist played "Easter Parade" on his flute, which I loved then when I had some cash could not find him again :( I don't give $ to panhandlers but he was performance artist 100%.
There was another homeless guy we dubbed "Santa Claus" and I swear he had a fixation on me. EVERY where we went, here comes Santa Claus (and not down Santa Claus Lane either). We were walking down Bull Street back to our Hotel and here he comes around the corner of Broughton practically breathing down my neck. I slowed down hoping he would get the hint and go around - but oh no, so I finally STOPPED short. He stepped around me & gave me a 'look'. I gave him the 'hairy eyeball' as my sister likes to say LOL
Next morning we got up and were walking down River Street going in & out of shops. I look to my left and who is ambling along beside me? Not my sister. Not my niece. SANTA! I sat down on a nearby bench and my sister & Carrie were dying laughing. Kathy said I was waiting to see how long it would take you to notice him. Thanks sis! I have a crazy-eyed stalker who smells like the city dump & you laugh.
Oh and i've told you all before I am a freak magnet. I went down to the business center to get a print out of our Paula Deen Tour and on the way up i'm waiting for the elevator. This guy (i'm guessing businessman - not sure) goes "So do you live here?". I give him a "You've got to be kidding look". I just said a short "No" and hopping in the elevator pushing the button before he got on. I wanted to say "Oh yeah i'm just a 'working girl' *wink* *wink* trolling around in my flip flops & t-shirt looking for a date". Ass!
