Madison and Friend

Can you see him? A little caterpillar! (click on the picture to "big" it)! It took her a few days to pick one up when we first started seeing them. She wanted to but unfortunately she has inherited my fear of bugs and creepy crawlies! It's so much fun seeing things through a child's eyes. She gets so excited when we see a caterpillar or ladybug or butterfly! Brittany caught a butterfly on Sunday. I told her it was not a good idea to do that because their wings are very delicate but it flew away and seemed okay (maybe it flew off somewhere and had a heart attack but I hope not!).

Having a small child let's you kind of re-experience your own childhood. I love blowing bubbles, kicking a ball around the yard, swinging on her swingset. I WISH I could ride in her Barbie Bug!

They did not have cool stuff like that when I was her age but I did have a Big Wheel! Remember those? Man we wore ours OUT. We would race them around the huge parking lot at Ascension Catholic Church and the old lady who lived next to it (Mrs. Gentz) would come and tell us to get out of HER parking lot.

She was the one we thought was a witch cos' bats flew in and out of her chimney and we would stalk her on her way to the store. She always wore black. She would keep all balls, frisbees etc. that made their unfortunate way into her yard. I think most neighborhoods had an old curmudgeon like her.
Week-end Update
That title sounds exciting eh? Don't get your undies in a twist just yet. No picture to accompany this post (lazy) and really not alot went on.

Oh yeah, I still have my sanity :) I had Brittany from Friday night to Sunday night along with Madison. On one hand they do play together and keep each other occupied but oh the nit-picking, arguing, etc. It reminds me why i'm glad I only have one kid!

We went to church on Sunday (and no I did NOT burst into flames when I walked into the narthex).
I really enjoyed Saint Matthews. It was alot for Stacy to take in (having been raised a southern baptist) but he seems agreeable also. He didn't know what to do with the communion wafer (I hissed put it in your mouth!) and commented on the communion wine being strong (i've always found it to be delicious) hehe.... He really is a good sport about things.

His fishing trip to Santee with the boys is this week-end and me & Madison are supposed to go to the MIL's to the Rice Festival in Walterboro. I hope everything pans out.
Right now just let me get through this work week!
Our Thursday Night
Helga accompanied us to Madison's dance class. Here she is posing beside Madison's pink satin backpack replete with ballet slipper :) Mr. Roger is writing out receipts and keeping the books. He is the dance instructor's husband. Helga liked him.

Here is Madison showing Helga the gym at the building where she takes dance. Behind her is Richie. He is one of Madison's dance classmates big brother. He loves wrestling and is Stacy's buddy. If I had a son i'd want him to be just like Richie. Helga agreed.

Helga visits the infamous Raceway Grill. Dale Earnhard Sr. & Jr, David Person, Richard Petty, are just a few of the Nascar Greats that have eaten here. Now Helga can be added to the list!
Time Passes
Sometimes this is how I feel, that life is a big blur. Is it possible April is halfway over - more than halfway?

Madison has her first official dance recital next month on the 17th. We have been looking forward to it since September - and it's almost here!
She and I ran into one of my old Jr High boyfriends in the grocery store last night and we stopped to talked. His Mother passed away last year and I offered my condolences. It was nice to talk to him, he still lives in the same neighborhood and I live right down the road from my parent's neighborhood. He talked to Madison, asked her how old she was etc. Then he said "Wow, I can't believe you have a little girl" I tartly replied "Why because i'll be 42 this year?". He said "No, because I still see the same girl you were in 8th grade that used to go to the Time Trials with me at Darlington". I started laughing and said "Oh Mark take off those beer goggles boy" and he said "No, you look the same to me". Then Madison started pestering me to go as three year olds will and we said our good-byes and left. It was strange yet nice. Was he a great love of mine? No. He was a neighborhood boy and you know how that goes. We went through Junior High and Highschool together. Our school was small, you see the same people etc. That's all. He was familiar and sometimes familiar is comforting.
My Faithful Kitty
This is Brett aka "Booty". He is 7 years old and came from the Animal Shelter. He was a very welcome Christmas Gift after my cat Winston died unexpectedly.

He is such a good kitty he was praying everything would be okay with his Mommy. See those paws crossed?!

Okay the Monogram Queen has been holding out on y'all. You know I went to Urgent Care a few weeks (maybe even months heck time flies) ago? Well I have been back and forth to the Doc ever since then. I had an ultrasound and a biopsy and yesterday I got the good news that I do not have Cancer. We will have to keep an eye on my tummy area and I have medecine for the pain it's causing me but hopefully it will get better. I don't have to go back to that doctor until August Hooray!
Now those of you that care about animals please say a prayer or send some healing vibes to my parents cat Sam. He's a mean cat, cantankerous and ornery ever since he was a kitten but they love him dearly and he's got tumors that have re-appeared after expensive surgery to remove others and the vet says there really is no point in having them removed again. He is not seeming to experience discomfort so they are letting things be. My parents are understandably very upset as they have had this cat about 14 years now. He was a rescue also.
Tuesday Morning
I'm feeling sassy.... "Kiss my grits" kinda sassy!

Things I am happy/thankful for:
Being there for her at the end of her life ... she knew she was very loved and she is VERY missed.

That I have this little booger and will have many more years with him hopefully. It's so funny how he will sit on Daddy's lap and roll his eyes sorrowfully at me as if to apologize for not sitting with me!

That I have this little Diva to make me laugh and make a mess of my house! She sure is entertaining!

Yeah I know these are all old pics, you've seen them before but i've got them stored at work. Not much else going on and I don't feel like posting anything negative cos' like I said i'm feeling kinda sassy! How are YOU feeling today?
Welcome Helga!
Helga our favorite Lunch Lady made it safely to South Carolina.
Her host Stacy welcomes her!

She was friendly to Reilly but he just kept running around and barking at her. Silly dog! I told him she'd whack him with her scoop if he didn't watch it!

Laurie please know Helga is in good hands and I hope she enjoys her stay with us. I believe she goes to Cheeky next. Anybody else want to volunteer to host Helga just let me or Laurie know. We'd like to give her some adventures and visit across the US and who knows? Maybe even further!
Stay tuned to see what else the week brings for Helga!
Back(fat) At The Racetrack !
Okay last Sunday we went to the first 2008 race at FMS. Bring on the FUG people. My friend Fr*ankie urged me to take this pic. She says the lady has "back boobs".

Here is the monogram queen herself! P.S. Check out Junior Samples behind me - or is it Spanky from the Little Rascals? Only HE knows for sure, my friends!

Here is the Redneck King (I don't think he cares to be the Monogram King hehe) Oh and he's shaved off that goat. It DID need a trim!

Mommy are my earplugs secure? It's pretty loud out here!

No autographs please!
Feeling Blah
Just don't feel like posting today. I'll hopefully be back to my (ahem) entertaining self tomorrow.
Thanks Chickie!

Chickie sent Madison a box of goodies which we received on Saturday. There was this adorable "pretend to be a panda" t-shirt and an array of bath goodies which she and I both love. The fizzy seashell contained the most adorable mermaid I have to find out where to get more of these! I accidently left out of the picture a little tub of bath fun. You pop the top up and it looks like bath salts but when you put it in the water it turns to sparkly bubbles and the smell... oh it smells wonderful. When you walk in the bathroom you can smell it and it lingers on your skin after the bath. The name of this bathtime goodness? MONKEY FARTS. We love-love-love it! Thank you so much Chickie for thinking of my little munchkin. You are known as "Miss real name" because she gets confused between Chickie and Cheeky. They sound too much alike LOL
****Also my little foster pup has gone to his forever home with Casey. I just hope she takes good care of him and he gets housebroken. I think we made some progress. He is an adorable little thing. We will be checking up on him also!
I tried to look mean instead I look like I stepped in a pile of dog poo! Oh Well!

To the neighborhood kids that are older than Madison, DO NOT send her in the house for a snack, drink, candy, whatever. I am not that damned stupid you know. I offer/give you plenty of stuff. That kind of subterfuge irks me and smacks of taking advantage. I can't like that.

To same neighborhood kids: Do NOT Just walk in my house just because the front door is open (the storm door is closed - hello!). I feel like I can't even walk around without a bra on (and y'all thought I was SO classy!) or take a shit in my own house for fear some kid will come waltzing in. Grrrrr...........

To the Fat Assed Bitch whose job I am slowly taking over. Yeah. Uh. Huh. You can probably kiss your ass good-bye (IF you could bend over to do it, that is). You have played dumb, back-stabbed and just in general shit all over our department for 18 months but that is about to come to a screeching halt. 'Bout time.

To My Boss: I must say your little phobia made for some fun on April Fools Day. Not many have had the opportunity to hear you scream like a girl (I have). Funny stuff! Oh and to the bitch who said "Ooh if you do that he'll fire you". Suck It. Didn't happen. Had your hopes up though didn't you?

To Crying Cow Bank- Why for the love of the Tiny Baby Economy-Sized Jesus are you sponsoring the effing Seattle Mariners and the Chicago Cubs? Wasting money like that when our stock is like 85% d-o-w-n is just freaking STUPID. Stop it. If I hear I am not getting a little something~something at months end I am going to find a Baseball Bat and shove it up someone's posterior. Bet that. Y'all need to "waste" money on your employees if nothing else instead of bullshit like that.

To my Stalkers from the Lonestar State. Give it a rest people. Either start commenting again or go away. We can make nice. I'm more than willing to forgive and forget. The stat counters do not like mmm kay?

To the Snotty Real Estate Chick at the OIBR, if I decide to take my 5 lb house-broken dog I will gladly pay your $100 pet deposit when we come in June. I have not made that decision yet so no, you are NOT getting said money. You don't even know for sure if I have a dog. It's alot easier for me to pay you later than for me to get the money back. I wasn't born yesterday.

Okay enough petty mean-ness. I'm over it. Aaaaahhhh that felt good! I think I even kept the cussing down to a minimum. That was the Tiny Baby Economy-Sized Jesus' doing. He was smiling down on me!
Foster Pup
Stacy had a nice birthday, he got a caramel cake (southern fave), gift card from Lowes and I took him to dinner at Shug's Smokehouse in Kelleytown (my older sis watched Maddie which both loved).
Okay where do I have SUCKER emblazoned on my forehead. We are fostering this little guy for a few weeks but I swear it will not turn permanent!

His name is Jabelz (I think) and he is the sweetest little guy. Just a pup but bigger than Reilly. He is not potty trained (ahem) but we are actually making progress. Thank God Stac is home right now to give him guidance and some outside time. He's spent alot of his short life prior to us in a crate in the dark. ****let me add that my somewhat wayward niece C*asey is supposed to get him end of next week so it's not like I don't know where he is going *****

Hope you all had a nice April Fools and I got a nice voicemail from Daisy. I am glad you liked it honey, it's tough when you order blindly and can't "see" it!!!
Happy Birthday!
This is no April Fools Joke it really is two of my favorite people's birthday. Daisy and my darling husband Stacy! Daisy enjoy your day off and who knows? Maybe you'll get an unexpected surprise today. Birthdays ARE magical you know!

To my beloved husband, my life partner, father of my child. I am so blessed and so lucky to have you in my life. I love you for so many reasons but let me brag list a few:
You make me laugh with your crazy sense of humor. You are truly a fun-loving person.
You "get" me and even the rare times you don't, you appreciate me anyway.
You don't mind cooking, cleaning, yardwork, laundry or childcare.
You are totally wrapped around our little girls' finger and I know she will always treasure being "Daddy's Girl".
You are an excellant Pet Parent as well.
You are fearless in a racecar
You do not run your mouth but you can hold your own in a fight when needed.
You are a loyal and true friend (even to some who do not deserve you)
You are good to my parents and always partake in my families activities.
You do your best to take care of me and spoil me.
You understand the importance of Christmas Stockings, Easter Baskets and the occasional surprise.
Happy Birthday Honey. May our Forties be just the beginning!
Before Answering The Questions :)
Before I start answering any questions I want to wish my darling Momma a Happy Birthday (yesterday March 31st)! Here she is with you-know-who assisting! I love you Mom - you're the best!

BTE- Wants to know if I ever fantasize.... -Oh i'm sure i'd surprise many people if I revealed things I fantasized about and who. Heh Heh..

tommie- I guess if I HAD to pick one favorite movie it would be the Godfather. If you had said book or author - forget it LOL

Kellan- Came in at the tail end and asked about my dream job. As I answered in Namaste's question it is Early Childhoodl Education but actually i'd like to be an independantly wealthy philathropist. Does that count?

Betty- The most important lesson or concept that my Mother taught me is "What will be, will be". I will always & forever associate that phrase with her.

Manblogger641 - Proud to say I never voted for Bush! Honestly if it had not been so difficult to have Madison I would have had two kids. You are such a fabu Uncle I know you'd make a terrific Dad but glad you do not feel "deprived" or a "void".

Stacy The Peanut Queen-
If I could have dinner with three living people, strictly for conversational purposes only (not eye candy;), who would they be?
Bill Clinton, Maya Angelou and Fannie Flagg.

Jenie said... Favorite band/singer?
I honestly don't really have one. I like so many. I wish I had been able to see Frank Sinatra perform in his prime. He was awesome.

Southern Fried Girl -Favorite vacation memory in the last 5 years. Oh that is so easy, my week on the Isle Of Palms last August. Got to meet Cheeky & Katie, the hubs and Madison and I just enjoyed ourselves with various family memebers. It was relaxing heaven.

If the angel of death offered to whack somebody for you, who would you pick? - The dog next door. There are many people who annoy me but no one i'd actually wish death on seriously. Unless they hurt my kid. Then all bets are off but i'd do the killing.

Daisy said... -Do you have any fun plans for this summer and what are they? We are renting a beach cottage on Ocean Island, NC with my older sister and her girls and their kids in June. I am hoping you & Man can get down here sometime too this summer!

Cheeky - What color is Stacy's man thong?? Leopard - what else?
Andie -Oooh. I got one. If you had to live in any time period other than now which era would it be and why? In the 50's because I love the clothes, the cars and family values seemed much more prevalent.

Foster Communications -What is your earliest monogram memory?? A sweatshirt was my first endeavor I believe :)

Shell said...If you could live anywhere then where would it be? - Fantasy -Sullivans Island,SC. Realistic - Summerville,SC

namaste-If you are not currently in your dream job, what would a dream job look like for you?
I sure as hell am not in my dream job. My dream job would be teaching early childhood education. I'm working on making it come true!

Martini -Ever got a ticket? Ever flirted your way out of one?
Honey I have had to attend traffic school I was getting so many tickets at one point in my life and yep i've flirted my way out of one or two. :)
Once again TGIF!
This cartoon just cracks me up!

Since i've inundated you with pictures the past week i'm going to go a different route on todays post. I am going to open up the floor to my commenters and lurkers. You can ask me a question and i'll answer! It can be about anything ... put on those thinking caps and i'll see you on Monday with some answers! Have a wonderful weekend!
Everyone Else's Easter
The Bunny visited Chandler

A close-up of Chan's basket. I LOVE those crazy eggs!!!

Daddy got a basket with puzzle books, reese eggs, cadbury eggs - all his faves!

The Brat Madison's basket is personalized

Filled with all sorts of crap goodies!

Ha Ha the Easter Bunny DID come and visit me despite those lies my Momma tells!

Checking out my cool Art Supplies and Puzzles!

Poor Reilly didn't get anything... forgotten by the Easter Bunny *sob*
My Easter
Who needs the Easter Bunny?......... when they've got my Bunny Honey

Who gave me this basket ........

and THIS basket (bag) as well.

For those who are not bag savvy this is a robins egg blue Coach Hobo Bag.
Yeah i'm spoiled. Shaddup!
Friday Night Easter Doings
This is the outfit she wore to school for her Easter party.
The doll dressed in a frog outfit is her new baby "Trisha" (named after me but no one calls me Trisha. Go figure)

I kinda got these out of synch but she was preparing to put stickers on the colored eggs!

Daddy finally allowed her to lift her own egg out of the dye (yep she dropped it after the picture snapped - but then ate it! LOL)

Brittany was there to help too, this is her "special" Jasmine egg!

Here are some of the colored effors. It was so much fun and brought back so many memories. I haven't done this in YEARS but now will be doing it for quite a few years it looks like. I love it!

Here is the dye beforehand (stop laughing at my cup assortment - it's called "eclectic" people LOL). I was enjoying sniffing the vinegar-y goodness of the easter egg dye. I know, i'm weird!

Okay am I too much of a smartass if I point out that i'm shocked none of my neighbors (not next door but neighborhood) have put up an Easter Bunny on a Cross. They seem to love Santa Claus kneeling at Jesus in the manger at Christmas time. For some reason that annoys the ever living !@#$%^&*(+!@#!! out of me!
Happy Easter!
More Easter Stuff
Here is a big basket full of littler baskets for Madison's pre-school

Each basket had some little toys/trinkets, candy and some hillbilly teeth. hehe... I guess I got a visual of the one scene from A Christmas Story where the whole class wear hillbilly teeth!

I also did treat bags for Madison's dance class and for my co-workers but they were already in the car and I didn't feel like walking out to take pics. They were in bunny shaped bags. Cute! I love stuff like that. I will never be the Mom who bakes cupcakes for the class but I will BUY the cupcakes or anything else for that matter. God please let me get through Friday - I need this week-end so-o-o-o-o bad!
