I think of my blog as sort of a journal, but really with the pictures and things in it - it's sort of like an online scrapbook too.
I know my sweet husband doesn't really understand about blogging. I told him about mine a little over a year ago because I didn't want to feel like I was "hiding" anything from him.
Plus we were going to the Isle Of Palms for a week and Cheeky and Bella were going to visit and he'd surely want to know how I knew them!
The visit went well. We three hit it off and my daughter and husband loved Cheeky & Bella! My daughter even thinks I wear Miss Bella's clothes LOL
Really i've been lucky. All of the people in the blogworld that i've met IRL have been great.
Lynilu stopped by Flo-town in November '07 and we had dinner at Redbone Alley. She was exactly as she is on her blog. A bond was formed! I can talk to this lady about anything and she is so understanding and wise. Oh and she has adorable pets. Lots of them!
I got to meet Michelle of Chelle's Winks and her two adorable kiddos in T*arget back in October and I hope very much that our schedules allow for a more lengthy get-to-know-you visit soon.
I plan on going down to the Market in downtown Charleston maybe next month (or maybe not until May) and meet Greg who has a stand down there.
"Someone" is coming to visit me soon but i'm not allowed to talk about it. Don't ask. No, really. It's no use. Loose lips sink ships!
There are some newer blogs i've only been reading since last Summer that I really love. In fact i've been poking around on them yesterday and doing some back-reading (don't think i'm stalking ladies just "getting to know you" a little better!).
Okay, i'm bored at work and i'm slacking off. I admit it!
I try to visit my blogroll every weekday and am not really looking to add any more blogs to it but sometimes I branch out and click on a link and then cannot resist leaving a comment. Anybody else do this?
I guess you can all see i'm slacking off here too and this rambling post must come to an end.
I leave you with.......
S.H.I.T (So Happy Its Thursday!)
A giggling....

I'm really getting a bad case
of the 'I MISS MY BLOG'...But oh
well...What can I say...
I may start another one someday...
It's alright to slack off at work
some...You do have to put up with
co-workers...And you know how some
of them can be...
HUGS!!!!!!!!!!

Sis I am working real hard at getting up there for the race this year so we can hang out and I can be one of those IRL people. Right now since I went to the last 2 races I was told I was bad luck coz the same happen to Reed for 2 weeks in a row breaking tie rods he said I wasn't allowed to come anymore boo hoo! Whatever we wont let him stop us! I love the time change but its kickin me too!
That vacay was so much fun! It's also when I was "introduced" or told I better start reading SFG's blog or else!
That vacay is one of the best in my book. I think we need a replay. Think Stacy will mind playing cabana boy?
I'd love to get together sometime...we'll have to work on it!
I'm the same way...like the blogs I read but occassionally I will hit someone else and leave a comment. I wish I had time to just sit and blog hop all over...but I'm having a hard time hitting all my favorites now...esp. with the warm weather. Abby keeps me outside all day...she loves it!
S.H.I.T. funny...have a great Thursday!!!
You KNOW when I get back to FloTown next year we're gonna have us a long lunch where they threaten to kick us out for being too loud! I'm just saying....
If I could meet anyone in my blog world, your the first that comes to mind.
I bet your just as cool in person!
*huggggs*
Despite being completely normal, I've had a lot of people freak out over my bloggy presence over the years (usually feckin' uptight American women), so I've made it a policy to never visit another person's blog first. I figure after they've commented on my blog, it's their fault for drawing my attention in the first place. This policy doesn't lead to many friends, but it cuts down on the internet drama.
I'm so glad we got to meet, and I agree that a bond was made. I've been surprised at times about what a close feeling I have with several blogger friends I've not met in person. Facebook is OK for quick update communication and I've found old friends with it, but I love the blogs for the intensity and depth they provide. I've heard people say they are considering giving up the blog for facebook or twitter, but honestly I wouldn't have met you through those venues. :)
well patti, you will always be the most special blogger to me and i hope you remember why.
i love the blogworld. it showed me that i am not out-numbered by stupid ppl afterall. LOL! there is hope for the future. and meeting blog friends is the best!
I have met a number of bloggers IRL, as you say....And it is a real treat! I will be seeing one of my BlogBuddies next Thursday, and this is the 4th or 5th time I will be getting together with her....And I have met her Brother and her son. This time I will meet her husband and her daughter, too! And she lives quite far away---ALL the way across the country, but has been spending a bit more time here on The west Coast.
And.....it is as you said...There is an immediate comfort level. I think it is because we get to know people quite well and in depth, from their blogs....!
I hope you get to meet lots more bloggers IRL, my dear.
Blogging is great - sort of like scrapbboking and pen-pals all at once ! It's so much fun to meet your cyber-friends in real life, too !
I think about the blog just like you. It's interesting to read blogs and get to know people in a very unique way. Glad I'm getting to know you.
Forget my comment. The So Happy It's Thursday threw me for a loop. LOL
Blogging has been such a life changing experience. What started out as a way to let Husband see the kids...is just fun!
Get back to work! The world doesn't run itself you know. Well... not any more anyway. Not since we came along. It... it was obvious someone needed to take charge and... eliminate inefficiency and... reduce red... tape... and...
Ah hell. You might as well blog at work.
If i am ever in your neck of the woods i am so coming down to hang out with Maddie and Stacy.
Ok you can hang out to.
