Anybody have good plans (except for Cheryl at http://lifewithcherylwray.blogspot.com/ who ALWAYS has great plans pardon the link I no longer know how to do it where the name is hi-lited).
We are going to the races and they always have GREAT fireworks. I am looking forward to that.
I do wish we were having a cook-out with a few people and lots of different yummilicious food. Unfortunately that won't be happening as i'm not that great of a cook. We'll just grill something, probably have some corn on the cob and call it a day. I can't complain though - many people won't even have it THAT good!
So...... are you a fan of fireworks or no? Being one of the few states left where fireworks are still legal we usually buy them at Christmas and the 4th of July. I am a chicken and don't like to light them (leaving that to the menfolk) but I do love the ones that shoot up into the air and burst into brilliant sparkles of color. I think they are festival balls or something like that. The bigger the better! I have always been terrified of firecrackers though... and cherry bombs. Which are now illegal.
Boy this is an interesting post, I am seriously half asleep myself already! LOL Happy Early 4th in case I don't get a post set up to go tonight!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE fireworks!!!! The 4th of July is my most favorite holiday!
Man and I are having his family and maybe Youngest Daughter and her boyfriend over for hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill.

My friends are all being indecisive. Some want to go to the park where they are going to do the fireworks (I don't want to go...too many people), some want to find a rooftop and see the fireworks, some want to just get drunk.
We close at noon today! Woo hoo!
I'm going to the hospital to have my IV bag replaced, same as every day this month. Yesterday I had the dressing changed and today I get new tubes. Woot!
we'll be grilling all weekend. i like to watch the fire works, but from afar. i'll look out for them from my deck.

Dang Daisy stole my thunder. Yeah we are having my fam over. I like fireworks but they are not a big deal to me now that I am older.
I love fireworks.
We just had some for Canada Day and next month they have the annual fireworks competition spread over 10 days at the casino which is always an eye opener as they try to outdo each other
I dont;' mind fireworks ON the 4th. I detest them any other time - including current late afternoon and evenings. I swear - the noisy ones are the worst. I love the sky high pretty ones. The BOOMS I can live without.
They are legal here for one week (we all know they go longer than that though). They finally made them illegal for New Years (and yet, it stops very few from having them). Like I said, I love the really pretty ones - the family and I sit on the patio on the 4th and watch the neighbors burn their money - err I mean light off their fireworks. We buy none. No sense - the sky is full anyway. :)

I'll be the first to say I friggin HATE fireworks. Nope, don't like 'em. I don't like the sound of cars backfiring, or bombs blowing up neighboring villages either. It's all just terrible noise and I have delicate ears. Also fireworks make my Collie go hide in the closet.

I enjoy fireworks displays, but I detest noisy crap. Eye candy is dandy, but forget the pop, boom, bang!
Gail and I are planning to make the most of the area events. This little county is just infused with fun, parade, music festival, outdoor theater, art & craft shows, rodeo, dances, fireworks shows. We gonna be busy!!!

I love watching a great fireworks show - but am not a fan of the ones my hubby and kids want to light every year - scares me to death.

Canada has always had the lamest fireworks (for purchasing). We always used to pick up some awesome stuff in the states. I didn't know they were becoming harder and harder to come by. The times they are a changin.
Patti: "Menfolk". You reminded me of a visit to my mothers house. A sales call came in and she answered the phone, listened and said "I'm sorry, I'll have to ask my men folk" and then she hung up on the guy! I was in stitches!

I love fireworks and love to set them off but haven't for several years because they aren't allowed in the city. Growing up on the farm we always had a great time shooting them all day and into the evening.
I LOVE fireworks! They may be illegal here but that stops no one trust me. It is Friday morning and I still have no firm plans. Will probably be a lame 4th. Hope you have a great one!

I love the in the sky fireworks but am scared to death of the other kinds. I'll watch them from somewhere far away. Somewhere I can duck for cover.
