Make-over Home Edition

Don't get too excited (Shell) but the above pic is my entranceway with that UGLY pheasant wallpaper all but gone. Painting may commence as early as this week! I tried to find the paint sample but could only find one with multiple colors showing. The color I picked was Grenadine - a bright poppy red. I think it will make a GREAT background for my pictures. I plan to hang lots of family photos. I love to see family photos displayed in a home. So interesting! There was no way to display anything with that wallpaper as background.

The week-end was relaxing. We had a nice 4th, the Racetrack was PACKED (Chelle, did y'all get to go?). Our friend Stormin' Norm (formerly Big Norm but he's had gastric bypass) was announcing and he spotlighted Stacy when he saw us coming in hehe.... MY BIL Wayne won both of the Late Model Races and his nephew little Rick was involved in a wreck on the back straight-away, the car JUMPED the concrete retaining wall (there is a high chain link fence that protects the infield). OMG my heart was in my throat until I knew Rick was okay. He's just turned 17 and i've known him since he was little so he's still a little kid to me. There was some drama behind that wreck but let's just say if the bitch that I think wrecked him did it on purpose she's got some payback coming. Stacy is still not in the car he is supposed to drive. Hopefully next week and there will be pics. I've got regular AA batteries in my camera right now but they aren't doing the job very well. Better than nothing though.

We bought Maddie a little 8 ft (round) pool and it's about a foot and a half deep. Big enough for us all three to get in but I usually just lay out and Stacy is her favorite play-mate. I've GOT to get some pictures of the big goof in the pool with her. He is so patient and they are so funny.

Tomorrow will be Church (why do I want to be a slacker already and stay home? Shame on me!) and I might run to Belk's when they open. I am also contemplating taking Madison to see the movie about the robot, the name escapes me. She's never been to the movies and I think she would like it.
Anyway enough here. I might not get to visit many blogs Monday at work. Boss will be back and on a tear as he usually is when he's been gone. We've got an issue that he has to look at and refer to legal and i'm sure he'll have to get a few digs in on me regarding it *sigh* Lately I really do hate my job. I love the paycheck though *snort*
P.S. I wrote this post Saturday night in case you couldn't tell!

Good luck with the paint and pics--I love home improvement projects. Uggh work!

Good Monday morning to you, Patti.

Red paint will be really pretty as a background for all of you pictures !

Looking forward to seeing Madsion and Stacey in the pool.

Did you go see the robot movie ?

I went to Chruch yesterday, but it was the only time in a year !

Too bad works sucks so much right now. Your boss sounds like a pill.

Happy Monday. How was the movie?

I want to go see Wall-E as well. Did you get to the movies? What did you think?

I can't wait to see Stacy and Maddie in the kiddie pool. ;-)

If you want the wall bright red you could just set it on fire. Just trying to help.

MJ- Me too I love the change!

Annie- I will get some pics of them. I heard a tiny buzz he might be job hunting God I hope it's true!

Man- Happy Monday back! We didnt' go to the movies, Madison said she didn't want to. Strange kid! LOL

Daisy- Didn't go. Maybe I can convince her next week-end. I will definitely get some pics LOL

Grant- No that would make it black. You ARE helpful though! ;)

Holy crap, the bad paper is gone. I know you are glad.

Morning, Patti! That color Red is really in-style! You will love it after your hard work painting and scraping is over. Smiles!!! :)

SFG- Yes happy~happy~joy~joy!

Michael- Um, that would be STACY'S hard work of scraping and painting. I, ahem, supervise!

I just LOVE painting a room in a new color. I think that color sounds GREAT and, yes, it will be a great backdrop for photos!! You'll have to give us pics when you get it done!

Sounds like a fun weekend!!

Love the idea of the pool. I think I want one I can fit into with Scout too.

Did you make it to church? :-)

I like bright color on walls, so why are mine still the soft almost white I painted them to cover the loud turquoise? I donno! Anyway, the red will look smashing, I think!

I was really surprised to get the picture from you the other day! Figured it would be from Caroline or one on my kids! I loved it! OK, OK, you can text message me!!! ;D

i'm glad your bil is okay. thay must have been really scarey!

oh i can't wait to see your finished walls with all the family pics. i am doing a little fixin up here myself.

Oh my God...the wallpaper is gone! I thought I was going to have to come over there myself and take it down. Took you how long? Haven't you been in that house a year? I think red will be great too.

BTW...I'm off today. Just thought I'd rub that in.

Hey there girrrrrrlllll!
Poppin' in to say hi!!

But, but, but, the wallpaper is so purdy!

Bright poppy red sounds FABULOUS!!

Cheryl- I have some pics for tomorrow but it still needs a second coat. We used to have a big pool before Madison but I refuse to have one anymore. Too scared!

Lynilu- They are a canvas and await your artistic color endeavors! I love texting but am not an addict like some people LOL
Glad I could surprise you!

Namaste- I'll give you a big of "unfinished" tomorrow but you know you'll get the whole enchilada when it's done! Fixing up is fun isn't it?!!!

Shell- Again... bitch. Just wait til' i'm back at the beach *sniff* Yes GONE baby gone. I thought of you immediately *grin*

Tammi- Glad to see you are well enough to "pop"!!!

Bella- But um, yeah. Sure. Uh Huh!

Sandra- That's what i'm going for - fabulous!!!!

I hate my job but lately I've started pretending that I'm an actress at work. It helps. This may signal some sort of real mental issue on my part though.

Chickie- Ha I do that sometimes too, I think everyone does, seriously.

When people first started painting rooms red, I hated it, but now all of a sudden it is starting to grow on me. I think it would make for a nice entryway color.

Its frightening to watch crashes at the races but those cars a built to take it no a days.

I bet they look funny in the pool but in the end they are getting the last laugh by staying cool LOL

Yay on the wall paper removal.
Its a pain in tha ass removing wallpapaer. There is always a small patch the refuses to be evicted

At the lake, Alexis has a tiny little blow-up pool that I always get in with her - I'm her playmate.

Have a good Tuesday - Kellan

Painting...oooh, my favorite thing. NOT!

That's what they made construction worker hubbies with sexy arms for....right?

:_)

Mike- It is real big down here in the South (red diningrooms especially) but this is a really really bright red

Walker- I will be a nervous wreck when Maddie starts driving (she already says she is).

You are right about the pool!

Ha now he has to remove that stupid flowered border ALL the way around the livingroom, but he volunteered.... !

Kellan- You & Stacy -super playmates LOL

Andie- Exactly and Stacy did used to work construction, when we met in fact! LOL

Hey, when you're done there I have
a BIG project for ya. My house! HA!
Just kidding!
I know what ya mean about boss on
a tear. If he gets to ya just ask
if he needs a maxi-pad. Well, maybe
ya better not since you do like the
paycheck.

HUGS!!
