Finally i'm back!
Hey Y'all! I'm glad to be back to a little bit of "normalcy". Maddie is doing okay, i'm not going to lie and say she's fine but she is a tough little cookie and on the mend. First off I want to say I haven't went and read the whopping 35+ comments on the post Katie kindly put up so you all wouldn't think I had vanished off the face of the earth - but THANK YOU for the kind thoughts, vibes, prayers I felt them all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I also need to thank these four chicks who totally rocked a little girls world;
Southern Fried Girl, Katie, Shell & Cheeky

This bear sings the Carpenter's song: "Top Of The World" and his mouth even moves. This has raised the bar for all teddy bears in Madison's book now. Nothing will ever measure up! Plus it is gorgeous to look at! The flower basket is so dainty and pretty and that child does love balloons!

Here is an overall pic. Thank you so much. She kept saying "Is that for ME Mommy? Is that MINE?" LOL

Yes the last two days have been very very tough but it could have been so.much.worse. Madison could have been killed. She could have had more injuries to her pretty little face. She does have some scratches and bruising on her face but the worse injuries are on her left thigh. She's got two deep bites on the front and one on the back. I won't get all graphic and ruin anybodys breakfast but let's just say thinking about them makes me very very queasy. Cleaning and changing the bandaging twice a day isn't a picnic either. Nor is forcing her to take her antibiotic twice daily (Augmentin - the milky nasty one ACK!). Isn't it amazing what we can do when we HAVE TO? Just continue to pray that she doesn't have to have plastic surgery and the no infection sets in. Again Thank You. So.Very.Much.

***** I plan on responding to your comments also so don't give up on me there. I've got to actually DO some work here today *snort*

Glad to hear she's on the mend! And those are some very sweet gifts...they'd definitely make a patient feel better!

I always liked the Amoxicilan (sp?)...that pink bubble gum taste kind of antibiotic! ;)

Poor Princess. At least she's smiling in the pic.

Wow...Katie picked those flowers out. She did a great job! That bear is adorable.

I'm glad to see her smiling in the pic. And those girls are awesome...what great gifts!

I'm so happy that she's doing ok!

It is good to see her smiling!

I bribe mine with chocolate milk to wash the icky meds down. Always works!

Happy Friday

Glad we could bring a smile to her.

Oh my goodness - I will absolutely have her in my thoughts and prayers. And I will send you lots of strength to continue taking care of her and being brave for her. Hope you have a restful weekend!

Oh I am glad that she is on the mend. Poor thing!

Tell her to watch the mailbox - made a special little card just for her (so she doesn't have to steal yours *snort*)

I'm just glad she is doing okay--and you are right, it could have been so much worse. Here's hoping for speedy, trouble free recovery.

So glad to hear that she is healing and taking this well!

And I must commend you on your restraint. If that were my child, that dog would already be dead.

Oh man...I don't stop for a few days and look what I miss. I'm SO sorry to have missed the update on Maddie!

I'm SO relieved to hear that she's doing better. How SCARY that must have been for her and all of you! Wow!

That bear has got to be just about the cutest bear I have ever seen! Look at that hat and outfit. TOO cute!!!

It sure looks like she's going to be fine from those pics! I'm glad things are looking up.

When I was 6 our West Highland terrier attacked my 4-yr-old sister. He bit her right on the face, quite viciously. His teeth dug into the top of her forehead and her chin, and she bled a lot.

My parents decided he was too dangerous to keep, so they sold him to an elderly couple. I was really sad, but it would've been worse had they killed him. My sister hardly remembers the attack, and doesn't even have any bad memories of the dog, so I hope that's a promising story for Madison.

My Goodness! I miss reading your blog for a couple of days, and all hell breaks loose!!

I'm glad that Madison is on the mend! You can't be too careful around any animal!

I can't see anything on her face, so THANK GOODNESS for that!! Look at her smiling - she 's a little trooper, that one.

I'm glad to hear she's on the mend, with a smile on her face.

Can you mix that augmenten (sp?) with ice cream to make it better? ugh.

Stacy PQ- Thank you, amoxicilin is falling by the wayside now. Not strong enough apparently. She hates the Augmentin! Hates it!

Mike- Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You are so right.

Dixie- Thank you. Some may construe me as a bad mother but I hope not.

Cheryl- Yes I could have done without this excitement though, ya know. The bear is ADORABLE. The pics do NOT do it justice!

Martini- I, too hope she doesn't remember it but I sure will!

Tigeryogi- I know, thank you so much. She's doing great.

Pack of 2- That makes two of us!

Maria- Yes you do know the pain of seeing your child in serious pain. It's indescribable isn't it? Not something I would wish on my worst enemy!

Sandra- She has a little scratch/bruising behind the bear's hat. Thank goodness her face/eyes were pretty much spared!

Fost Comm- Thank You. I wish you could. Gosh I wish you could!

OMG I am SO Sorry to hear about this!!! Sorry I'm behind and just found out..your and Katie's posts made me cry. That poor sweet little angel - I am so sorry she was traumatized and injured like that.

Thank god that she is going to be okay. I will pray for her that she finishes healing quick...no complications, plastic surg, or lasting emotional trauma. That poor baby.

That was very very sweet and kind of those who sent her get well goodies.

Is anything going to be done about the dog?!

OMG Patti! I was smiling as usual at cute Maddie because she makes anyones day seem like "a celebration". Then I learn she was hurt? I'll have to see what I missed. Prayers are already on the way Patti. I'm fully awake after reading this.

Retro Girl- Thank you honey. I get emotional every time I read the posts/comments. We don't have animal control's report yet.

Michael- Thank you my friend. That tough little cookie was smiling though!

She's a trooper. Let her know that
I wish her a speedy recovery!
My love and prayer to y'all!

Hey - don't worry about the comments and responding. Everyone is just worried about your baby and that she recovers and that you recover from the trauma of her being so badly injured!!! We are so happy to see these pictures of her and see her beautiful smiling face - she is lucky and I am glad she is going to be okay! Take care and have a good weekend. Kellan

I'm glad she is doing so well and you too for that matter. That's a very difficult thing to go through.

I hope you reported this to the authorities, so there is no chance this happens to her or anyone again.

Hi Patti,
I am so glad Madison is ok, as well as can be. You poor thing going through this. How terrifying for you all. I tried to post on your blog yesterday but couldnt get on, I think your blog must have been busy.I hope her wounds heal nicely. Anyway big hugs from me to you both xx

So glad to hear Madison is on her way to mending. Thoughts and prayers will continue for your sweet pea.

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you and your little sweetie are doing well/better. I about passed out when I read your friends post for you. I just had no words to say...which is obvious because I didn't leave a comment. I just couldn't help but put myself in your shoes and wonder how *I'D* be doing had that happened to my Jayla.

Anyway, I'm glad Madison is doing...getting better. Take care of her and give bunches of kisses. Don't get me wrong, I'm no doctor...but I'm SURE kisses work wonders, LOL :-).

Have a good weekend.

Thank goodness she's on the mend..and that is so sweet of everyone to send her those goodies! Thanks for my comment...glad to see you back around. Hope they didn't work you too hard!

I am so glad she is OK. Sending you guys lots of hugs.

I'm so glad she is better, if not out of the woods yet. Such a traumatic thing to happen! My nephew was attached by a dog when He was just 2, bit his throat, so he had to go through the shots. I'm SO VERY happy that Madison escaped that.

Hy love to all of you.

Always a smile on Maddie's face, she's such a cutie. I will continue to keep her in my prayers.

Glad you're back and glad that it wasn't worse for Maddie! Poor chickie!

Praying for your sweet little girl. Adorable pictures..
Tell her to Get Well Soon!
