Hey!

I am so sleepy this morning! Do I look it? LOL This is the last pic in my "haunted" house when we were moving. I am SO glad to be away from there. I love the house we are in now and am pretty sure we will end up buying it. The kitchen and bathroom both need to be re-done but that's okay. We would take that into consideration when we do the mortgage. I like the way the house is laid out and I love my huge closets in every room.
Tonight we oficially start the "earning chart" to get Madison to sleep in her own bed. I just need to put a small nightlight in the Hall so when she gets up to come to our room she can see the chart and (hopefully) think "Oops I have to go back to my own bed so I can earn a star". Cross your fingers. She picked out the stars herself and was mad because I wouldn't let her have them this morning. I explained she has to earn them so we have a little learning curve ahead of us but I think she'll catch on quickly. After five stars she gets a new toy or DVD of her choosing.

You be so smart!

That sounds like a good idea about the chart unless she walks into your bedroom with it, it might work.

Maybe stick some glow in the dark starsd on her bedroom ceiling to give her temporary light so she would sleep. It worked with my daughter.

Have a nice day

Good luck!

Excellent idea girl. I hope you are successful with it. :)

Good luck! We have charts for this and charts for that...

GOOD. LUCK.

Cheeky- Thank you for recognizing *smirk*

Walker- She has a nightlight. Her issue isn't getting to sleep she just wakes up in the early hours and comes in our room. I read it's normal for 2-3 y/olds. *sigh*

Katie- Thanks we may need luck!

SFG- Uh, I got it from SuperNanny I must confess!

Kami- Uh am I sensing negativity??? Uh oh.

I love the chart idea, very smart! Abby, who is now 13.. would not sleep in her own room alone until she was 10... it was a long 10 years!

Sheila- Oh lord don't tell me that! She goes to be okay just gets up in the night.

Determination, Patti! Sort of like the morning she wouldn't let you do her pigtails!! She sounds cute. I would bet this will work, especially with the night light!

Maybe I should try this with Jayke. So far nothing has come close to working. He does not want to sleep on his own room.

Good luck!

Michael- I definitely am determine it will work.

Wendy- Try it - what have you got to lose? I'm out $3 for the chart/stickers if it doesn't *shrug*

Love that chart idea!

So can we get stars too?

Shelly

Thats a good idea, I ended up bargaining with mine. She changed rooms because she said her room scared her. I told her that was fine but if she ended up in Daddy's room again she would end up back in old room. Worked last night so keep you fingers crossed for us. She is almost 5 and this has been a long fought battle for her to sleep in her own room..I/O

HEY! That's an excellent idea.

You know Place Peanut would be WAY WAY cleaner if The PK devised a system like that for me. Charts and stars and if I do well and keep the bathroom floor all scrubbed or keep the laundry done, I get a reward.

Hey, I honestly think that would work. I swear. :)

I never went into my parents bedroom except for 1 night. I feared my dad more then I feared the boogie man. LOL Good luck Patti in any case.

Dixie- Thanks Hon! Now if it just catches on....

Pack of 2- Yup - gold ones even!

I/O- I NEVER thought this would be happening to me. Ever. Good luck to y'all too. It's tough having the sleep interrupted nightly.

Stacy PQ- Maybe someone needs to let the PK know stars are the way to go! LOL

Before and after pics please!!!! The new place sounds fabulous.

sounds like a great idea....I want to know if it works!! I still have one or the other sleeping with me most nights.

I never went into my parents' bed. It was never an option and my father did not bend any rules. He was (still is...ONLY WORSE!) difficult to be around.

Hey, what a deal! Five nights in my own bed and I get a DVD??? I like it!!

;-)

What a great idea! I'll keep my fingers crossed that all works out and young missy stays in her own bed all night.

By the way, you look rather hot when you think you look sleepy...I am allowed to say that right?? lol

Sandra- Well, it's far from fabulous yet but i've got a vision

tommiea- Didn't work last night :(

Gerbera- I slept with my older sister until I was 10 years old so..... Eek!

Lynilu- Hey I even offered her double stars last night!

Lisa- Thanks and you sure can say it! Made me smile!

I never had a problem with not sleeping in my room when I was little because my little brother was more scared of his room so he'd come crawling into my bed. My parents were lucky that he didn't crawl into their bed because he tossed and turned all the time.

That's it! She needs a SIBLING!
:-P
