Also to my Neighbor Miss Linda: Stop sending your damn kids over to my house with notes begging for $ or i'm calling DSS on your ass. Yep, the boy showed up again yesterday this time with his 3 or 4 year old SISTER in tow. I politely told them "Tell your Mamma I don't keep any cash in my house". Gah!!!!!!!
Oh brother...that is SO sad about those kids! Yes, their mother needs to just STOP.

I mean I have a neighbor kid who seems to be selling something new every week (magazines, cookies, gift wrap), but she's not just asking for a handout...if Linda's definitely forcing her kids to be street urchins I agree with Jenie that you should keep those notes!
Go tell Miss Linda to stop that crap! If she keeps it up, then call DSS. You'll be doing the kids a favor.

Getting older is a strange sort of thing as you begin to not take youth and health and the concept of 'always' for granted anymore...
That cycle goes on, whether we are ready for it or not... To be able to find beauty or kindness, something sweet in our lives to emotionally hold us up, is really important in our days and our lives...

What an AWESOME psa. I'm smiling from ear to ear. As for your neighbour's kids, I'd set up the video camera by the door, and next time they come over, slap 'em both in the face with banana creme pies. It might not solve any problems, but you can laugh and laugh. And we can laugh along with you when you post it on YOU TUBE.
