Monday
Good Monday Morning! How was everybody's week-end? I went shopping for the house. We bought a new mattress set. Ugh. Why didn't anybody warn me how expensive mattresses are? Moreso than the actual BED. I'll be getting my gorgeous cherry sleigh bed this week. I can't wait! We also chose a cocoa brown microfiber suede couch. I think Reilly will like it (must take the dogs comfort into consideration since he will lay on it far more than we actually will!). I also chose new bed linens. Wow I also did not realize there were so many thread counts. I know the higher, the better but I got 300. That's good enough for me. Our duvet is beautiful, pink & chocolate. I'll take pics probably this week-end. Madison is going to stay with her Aunt Buffy and she's really excited about that. When she comes home it will be to a new house and a brand new big girl bed with Strawberry Shortcake bedding. Well let me know how your week-end was. What you did/where you went. I want details people. Details *grin*

I was sick all week with a dang nasty cold. Man caught my cold and stayed home from work on Friday. He was sick as a dog. I tried making him feel as comfy cozy as I could. We both slept a lot this weekend.

Ohhhh I love buying new things to decorate. Yeah - our pillow top mattress was incredibly expensive but well worth every single penny. LOVE IT! My weekend updated is posted.....

If I leave all the details here, I won't have anything to post on my own blog! :) Actually nothing really to write home about.

I can't wait to see the new bedding. Pink and chocolate sounds awesome!!

Aunt Buffy sounds like a TV name for an aunt. I wish I had an 'Aunt Buffy'

We scored a couple months ago. There was a five star hotel that went out of business. We baught Italian silk sheets and pillow cases. I think they were $10.00 a set. We also purchased a king size cherry wood bed frame with the mattress and end tables for $200.00. Now that I have slept with feather pillows and cumforter I am totally spoiled...I/O

Mattresses are damn expensive. We got our new set when I was PG, and Jon threatened me that I better not ruin it with my water breaking on it. Nice.

We are lucky there is a place here that we can get mattress cheap and they are really good. We have bought 2 sets(mattress and box spring)for $100.00 each set.and the frame. Now there are no headboards but we didnt need them we needed beds fast. One we set up at my dads when we were there. the other here where we are now. These are queen size. Only problem is that the one set is way too damn hard.

Hey lady,

I can't wait to see the pics of the house and the bed. Good for you Patti. :)

We've been looking for a new mattress ourselves, to replace the waterbed bladder. It's a California King and, in order to get a mattress to fit that frame, we'd need another mortgage on the house...

What I did over the weekend is on my own blog. ::sticking tongue out::

Well, this weekend we pretty much just hung out. We did paint the bathroom which really needed to be done. We also watched "The Guardian" which is an awesome movie. I highly recommend it.

I can't wait to see pictures of your new house.

You want to know who I did this weekend? Must I tell?

Aren't you having SO much fun? Yes, it is expensive, but so exciting! I'm having to try to calm my need to go buy all kinds of things, because ... don't laugh, it's true ... my things have been in storage for so long that I don't remember what I have besides the furniture! And I'll admit it, I've already bought some things! I can't wait!!

Be sure you get inside Madison's room and take pictures of her face when she sees the room!!

I thought those things were ALWAYS on sale. Uh-oh. This isn't good news. All I want is a box spring. (I don't have one!) Now you've got me really worried.

Doggie comfort is so very important.

Boring weekend. 4 year old birthday party. That is all.

The colors on the duvet sound pretty! Can't wait to see it!

I was just reading something the other day about how you need to beware of overinflated threat counts...some things that say 1000+ threadcount aren't really counting fairly. Anything over 200 is percale, right?
