Brain Dump
I am just unloading some thoughts swirling around in my brain...... bear with me and forgive me for this not being my usual *cough* witty *cough* post!

I am so glad the Sweet Potato Festival is this week-end and Madison is dancing. After the beginning of my week I need something happy and positive. If you're local and can go, she will be dancing between 10:45 - 11:00 am with Patsy Hathcock.

Not going to get into details (sorry) but someone I love is facing 8 years in prison and it's very, very hard to accept.
People - please, remember every choice has a consequence and be aware of who your friends really are.

I am getting slightly depressed about my birthday. STUPID - I know.
Aren't I the one always bragging how i'm going to be an eccentric old lady and live to be 100
but 42.... when did I get to be 42? In my mind i'm still TEN YEARS OLD for crying out loud!

My sweet, sweet hubby is taking me away next week-end. We are leaving around Noon Thursday and coming back Sunday. I will tell more about it later but let's say this trip couldn't come at a better time for me!

Okay that's enough crap. I better get to work, but before I go
THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!

I am so happy it's Friday too!

I have to work today, Saturday & Sunday! Stinks big time but I have a getaway coming up as well.

I know what you mean. I want to know how I got to be 56. Inside this old body is a 10 year old screaming to get out too! ;-)

Have a nice weekend and tell Maddie "Break a leg".

In my mind i'm still TEN YEARS OLD for crying out loud!

That, my friend, is what really counts!!!

And I think it's terrific Stacy is taking you away next weekend...that is SO sweet!

P.S. - Did I ever tell you about the title I have on my office plaque outisde my office door?

It's supposed to say our suite number and then have our name and title below that.....but all they have listed is our suite number. I went and printed out a little quote I found on the internet and pasted it below my suite number. It says :

"Cleverly disguised as an adult"

I love it! ;)

Sweet Potatoes! Oh how I love those
things. Madison is danceing at the
festival? Take TONS of pics!

Don't get depressed over your b-day
it's your special day..:)

HUGS!!!

sorry about not posting lately...
I've been under a lot of stress and
was rushed to the hospital...Alls
well...dizzy and an innerear
infection..yeah..not..

Brain poo - that basically describes how I'm feeling today.

Bella- Whoo hoo on you being first again AND Friday!

Daisy- So glad you have a get-away coming up too! Wish we had one together.. maybe next year! Yep we're both kiddos trapped in these adult bodies. LET US OUT!

Stacy PQ- OMG I love it too! I guess we have the right attitude (you, daisy & I)

Grant- Hope you feel better sugar. Brain poo... that can't be nice!

Girl, I feel your pain...I'm 43!!

As for this:

remember every choice has a consequence and be aware of who your friends really are.

I got that message loud and clear this week!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday EARLY!!

Have a great time at the sweet potato festival. I went last year and had a ball.

I am sure you will have a great geat away next week-end...just you and hubby - very romantic.

Morning, Patti: Suggest you Google Michelle Pfeiffer and other actresses you may admire. You are younger--and 42 is young! Celebrate! Maddie is dancing! Haha! I remember when you osted photos of her with a pacifieer in her mouth! WOW! She is so cute and funny! :D) Time to borrow a video camera!!!!

I understand what you are saying about a numerical age and the great difference with how you feel, inside.
At 77, believe it or not, I still feel about 6 years old, inside...! (Well, except all my organs are very very tired...!)
But I do think how you feel inside is what matters....And it is how we stay 'young at heart'.
It's kind of scary to think I could almost be your Grandmother, and I feel younger inside than you do! (lol)

My wife doesn't see the humor in my posts either but she is just one of my many admirers. The others like me. So are you visiting me this weekend?

I know exactly what your 10-year-old mind is talking about. I feel exactly the same. Well, I kinda feel more like 15. But yeah, same deal pretty much.

my hubby never takes me away 4 a weekend..

im gonna go sob now;)

Laurie- Somehow I missed your post but I sure hope you are feeling better! You've been missed! You know i'll take tons of pictures!

RLL- Age is just a number, and I KNOW that! I just have to get over this hurdle I guess :) Yes you did learn that lesson didn't you?

MGBHLH- It relaly is one of the nicest ones I go to (besides the Azalea Festival in Summerville in April.) Thank you I plan on having a FAB week next week!

Michael- I have a brand new video camera that I have to get up enough nerve to use, I think i'll let my SIL tape tomorrow. Yes she's sure changed hasn't she! I cannot compete with Michelle or Diane, both gorgeous! Esp. Diane!

Naomi- That is funny that you feel younger, that was a great comment! I do think it helps to "feel" younger definitely. You inspire me!

Greg C- No, we will be in your area next week-end. In Beaufort Thurs-Sat then Summerville Sat-Sun.

Martini- Oh I had too much teen-age angst at 15. I'll stay 10 thank you very much!

FFM- Tell him - talk to him. We only started this a few years ago but he loves it as much as I do (at least he puts on a good act if he doesn't!)

Just thought I'd tell you how much I love ya.

That's my random thought for the day.

Wish you were closer. Really.

yes, I agree with those who have said that the age you are in your mind IS your age! Amen! And just think- if you lived in Japan, you would be more revered with each passing year! (And you'd still be 10 inside!)

That upcoming getaway sure sounds enticing. Makes me with I had a hubby (and someone who could watch my son).

Have a great weekend at the sweet potato festival!

Hugs,
Betty

Your just a baby in my eyes. The year you were born was the year I turned 18 and had to sign up for the draft. We all know how that worked out.

Feel better now? :-)

I'm sorry about your friend and I'm sorry you are getting depressed about your birthday. But ... I'm glad you have a wonderful weekend this weekend and next weekend to look forward to - that is great and sounds like so much fun! Have a good time and I'll see you soon - Kellan

Geez, Patti, I had a 4 year old when you were born!! Now you're gonna make me feel old!!

I'm lucky because my parents treated age with a light heart, and I had just one time in my life that was difficult for me. Are you ready for this? I was 26!!! I know, I know. There is a long story behind it.

Don't sweat it. You are however old you let yourself behave. So take your 10 year old brain out and skip rope and swing! That'll do it!!

Get lots of pics..sorry I won't be
going...

Have fun on your trip...can't wait to see where you decided to go:)

Have fun at the festival!

I know it's not fair since you just did another tag, but I know you like them, so .... I tagged you at my blog!

40 is the new 30's... live it up... : )

I hope this means pictures of Maddie in costume!

The sad thing is that some people just don't think ahead. It'll bite you in the ass in the worst way.

Haven't you heard? 42 is the new 11!

Thank goodness for sweet, sweet hubbies! :)

THe saying is don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
I have lived y that and faced my consequences for my actions so don't feel bad about your friend they are getting what they already knew might happen.

You are only as old as you wangt to be and even at 42 you will still e that ten year old looking for some sunshine to dance in.

Hey, I'll be glad to trade ages with you!!! I'll be 64 my next one!!! I still fell 34, though! And that's all that really matters! Age is just a number unless you're a cheese...remember that! Happy Birthday whenever it is, as I don't know when your actual b'day is.

(((((( HUGS ))))))

MJ

You know, 40's are the new 30's and so far the 40's have been awesome for me and I'm a couple of years ahead of you.

Hope you had a great time at the Sweet Potato Festival! Bet that was a good time! And hope there'll be pix of Madison's dance?

Ya know...I'm 42 now too. I feel the same way---where the heck did all the years go?!

We gotta get creative...just reverse those numbers around, so you get 24. Then add 4+2=6...and add that to 24. (24+6=30)...and wah-la---You're 30! As lonnnnng as you wanna be! lol. Tell people it's your special beauty formula!

Andie- Thank you SO MUCH and I do too. We need to figure out just how far away we are..

Betty- Thank you and i'm going to go with Japan's mindset!

BTE- I do a little, THANK YOU!

Kellan- I do have a lot to be thankful AND look forward to!

Lynilu- Thank you for those kind words also and the tag. I'll get to it this week hopefully!

Savvy Mode SG- Welcome, you are right, that is the attitude to take!

Chickie- Yep and video too but it's the same costume she wore in her dance recital (of course for as much as I paid for it i'm glad to get the use of it LOL). Yes we are lucky with the hubbies aren't we!

Walker- Good advice, it is just tough because it's my nephew that I helped raise but I don't blame myself for his mistake, it's just hard to see the "little boy in the ninja turtle suit" go to prison.

Nancy- Thank you and good advice. I plan on having a wondeful "twilight" years. These little depressions are just tiny blips really.

MJ- I really can't complain. Really. :)

Retro Girl- You always have the right thing to say! Always!

Alfred

This won't succeed as a matter of fact, that's exactly what I consider.
