Ain't Skeered
Okay you know Madison has been having sleep issues for about two weeks now. She has been waking up every single night at home.
Well Saturday I was talking to Carrie and she said she thinks there might be something to Madison always saying the boogeyman is in her room. She slept fine the two nights she spent at her grandma's (when we went to Folly Beach).
Sunday night we put Madison to bed at her usual time. She never argues or cries when it's time to go to bed and she likes her big girl bed and has "boy" and "sister" and her big stuffed dog in there with her. So that's not an issue.
Well about 10 minutes she comes back out. "Boogeyman in my room" I said "Maddie there is no boogeyman" She is looking at me with wide eyes "Yes Mommy, he touch my hair. He throw blankie on floor but I put it back" (My girl gonna FIGHT the boogeyman lawd have mercy).
I told Stacy "This is it. This child has got to have a good nights sleep so we're moving her toddler bed into our room". and we did.
I must also say Saturday night I even offered to let her sleep with us but she told me she wanted me to rock her and then she said "I ready to get in my bed now" (at 2:30 am) but it wasn't long before she was back saying the boogeyman was in there. But I digress.
I had went in her room with a Bible and told whatever was in there that it has to leave. It has to go to God, to the Light, I don't care WHERE but it's got to leave my babygirl alone and let her sleep.
After we moved her bed into our room and we all went to bed I heard some loud knocks coming from her room.
Y'all my heart leapt into my throat but I was too chicken to get up or say a word to Stacy. The next morning he said he could hear something moving around in her room. The cats were outside all night, Reilly sleeps in the livingroom, and her door was shut tight. I don't know. AND she slept soundly all night long.
I don't know what to believe exactly, do I think a spirit or being has been stirred up because we are moving. You betcha. I think maybe I made it mad when I ordered it out. You can scoff or laugh but that's what I believe. I know we are getting the hell out of that house as fast as we can and my baby will be sleeping in her toddler bed in my bedroom until we do.

Crap...that is FREAKY! I personally have never encountered anything like that (and DEFINITELY do not want to) but I don't doubt you one single bit....and I sure don't blame you for moving her bed into your room!!!

OMG.. that is freaky! Plus, you know they say that kids can see things that we can't. I would so leave her in the room with me... and get the hell outta there!

Wow! That is some scary s*it!! I agree with keeping her in your room until you move. I'm so glad that you guys are moving out of that house!

And having had my own experiences, I completely believe you.

Ditto! I agree, I would keep her in my room too, if it were me.
Hope you get to move to your new place soon...and all quiets down until then.

There are far too many accounts of children and people seeing and hearing spiritual activity out there, to not believe it. You very well may have something going on there....just don't let it get to you...as hard as it seems not to.

Hmmm ever thought of trying to get an EVP (voice recording?) check this out http://www.aaevp.com/techniques/techniques_evp9.htm

I find this very interesting..

Stacy- It was/is scary and even scared the hub. Gulp.

Sheila- I definitely believe she sees something there. I hate it.

Jenie- She is definitely staying in our room until we move. Looks like it might not be this week-end, but next but I am feeling more and more of an "oppressed" feeling in the house.

Retro- I have NO desire to record it, just get away from it. Stat!

Yep...Bellie'd be in my room. That's for damn sure.

That Madison...she's one tough chicky. Fightin' the boogeyman like it's an every day thing.

Kids are amazing.

Jenn- What amazes me is she has never cried when we put her to bed.I would have been blubbering like an idiot. I feel like blubbering like an idiot now.

I am a firm believer in stuff like that. Yeah for you for keeping her in your room!

That poor baby!

She would deffinitely be sleeping with me in my room!

I would bet she adjusts well though to the new house, Patti! She's so small and this is such a big experience!!

Holy crap!!!!!

She knew where to stay out of and I would move to.
I am not a believer but I have seen some weird stuff in Greece while in the countryside when I was there and I am not talking about shepards marrying sheep either.

tommiea- I just feel bad she had to go through almost two weeks of it.

Dixie- Mom guilt!

Michael- She is a tough little chick

Walker- Uh, do tell!

I'm skeptical of most ghostie stories, but I do think some are true, and yours is ringing true for me - they say moving or remodlling can stir things up!

Oh cripes, it touched her hair????????????

Have you tried burning sage in that room?

Holy crap. Maddie is a lot braver then me. I probably would have shit my pants if I were in her position.

Are you nervous being in the house now?

Sandra- I was trying to remember what it was you could burn and yep it's sage. Nope but I will give it a try especially if we're going to be staying there for over a week.

Caroline- She's much braver than me. Yep i'm very nervous. I am experienceing a feeling of oppression. Hard to explain.

I'd have shit twice and DIED. Girl, come stay with me.

OK when I first started reading I was like "OH I know what to do to help her sleep and gid rid of the boogey man) but then I kept reading and ummm honey - MOVE!

SFG - Uh huh. I wish I could!

Cheeky- I wish we were gone this week-end but it looks like another week. I'm going to hunt some sage to burn as Sandra suggested.

On the scientific side...could you have a rat or something in the walls?

I'd still call a priest in. I'm not kidding.

Take care of you.

What is really freaky about this is she tells you what he does. If kids are making things up they usually don't have so many details. Keep her close and move fast!

My kiddos have had nightmares and have done that. I will go in their rooms and "whoooosh" the ghosts out. I will then tell them that I'm taking the ghosts and putting them in the trash.

They believe me and go back to sleep.

Don't know what I'm going to do when they stop believing me. :)

I'm laughing my ass off visioning you as some Evangelical preacher with your Bible in hand commanding the evil spirits out of her room. Bwahahahaa...

But seriously...it's time to move. All of us need to move. I say we make Cheeky see you first and help you move and then send her my way.

Patti,
Definitely let madison sleep in your room ! I don't care if it is a s ghost or a spirit or a real creepy genuine boogeyman, but I say don't chance it - be safe !
Thank goodness you are mving soon. That neighborhood just isn't giving off good vibes. No ma'am.
Time for new horizons and a good night's sleep for all concerned with nothing but crickets chirping and birds twittering in the morning.
No gunfire or crime reports or things that knock on the walls.

p.s. Would you be willing to add my new erotica blog to yuor links if you like it so far ?
I'd really appreciate it, Patti !
You ahve such a huge and faithful readership, and any new traffic or visitors to it would be a great help !

I owe you one ! Thanks !

It is called 'Mhmmm Yes I Love That'

http://www.yesilovethat.blogspot.com

Holy crap! That would have scared me to death. I would have my baby in my room too. I'm glad you're moving!

wow Patti, SUPER creepy! Im a big scaredy cat so I would definitely be out of there!

That's creepy!

Sounds like Madison and I could be great insomniac friends.

Sleep...what's that?

Man, I wish you'd asked her what he looked like, just to see what kind of description she could give. That'd be interesting. No sense in bringing it back to her mind now though.

I'd get the hay out of there as quickly as possible too. Just hearing and reading stuff like this brings tears of fear to my eyes..always has.

Been reading you for a while. I think it was Chelle's blog where I found you.

Monica- No I doubt it on the rats and if we had to stay I would call a Priest! But we don't, so i'm not.

Wendy- She's been consistent with her story too with everyone she's told.

Tammy- I tried a few things like that and nothing worked!

Shell- I felt slightly foolish but I was sincere.
Works for me!

Loving Annie- Thanks for the vote of confidence and yes I sure will add it!

Football Widow- I get a shaky feeling everytime I think about it.

Mr J- I have to take a deep breath when I walk in her room even in the day. It's so... oppressive.

Katie- She's slept that past two nights Thank God. I feel ya, the Lunesta didn't work and the Ambien CR not so great either. *sigh*

Kris- I did! She said he was a nasty boogey man, he was white and I asked was he little like her she said "No Mommy he big". Thanks for visiting me!

Oh, my goodness! What a little trooper she is! You know me and my beliefs about spirits, and I don't doubt for a moment that she is reacting to something real. Remember that children are highly intuitive, therefore they see/hear/experience things we adults sometimes don't because they haven't learned to filter out what-we're-not-supposed-to-believe-in. They just believe everything; sometimes they're more right than we are!

I'd keep her in your room until you move. Regardless of it's origin, there is no reason for her to be exposed to something that is disturbing her sleep. Patti, I would repeat the "go away ceremony," then close the door. Every day if necessary until you leave the house.

Give that baby a hug from me.

Patti,

I do believe her. Like the others, the details are specific. When Joshua was three, he nearly got hit by a car in a Safeway Parking Lot because he saw the Dukes of Hazzard riding car that they had out front.

When I hugged him to me, he kept looking around for Paw-Pa because Paw-Pa had grabbed him out of the way. For days he looked for his paw-pa. Only my stepfather had passed away seven months earlier. To this day our family believes that my stepfather is my older son's guardian angel.

Madison is really seeing what she says she say, IMO. I had an out of body experience when I was wounded, so nothing surprises me.
